One Car above all for reliability: Toyota Hilux. Who here has seen the 2 Top Gear Episodes they tried to destroy it, now that was impressive.
For overall quality you can't beat a German made car, BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes, Porsche. They all incorporate luxury, style, handling, performance and reliability. If you think they are expensive, blame your government for putting so many taxes on the thing. They are only expensive to allow your domestic car companies to compete on a value for money basis. In Germany Mercedes and Audis are used as taxis and police cars due to there reliability and relatively cheap cost.
Do you think people are going to use an expensive luxury car for a taxi? No. So peoples complaints about price is solely due to government intervention.

Only if you're the mechanic's best friend. I have a buddy with a bimmer. A switch on his dash went bad at 45K miles. A simple, dipole, lighted switch. $445 to replace it. FOR A SWITCH!!!Fen321 wrote:

The Monaro has nothing to do with a dodge charger. Although a Pontiac GTO is a rebadged Monaro.blisteringsilence wrote:
The monaro you're referring to is just a rebadged dodge charger. Although, I do like the falcon.madmax wrote:
Holden Australia why for the 427 monaro 7 liter v8
Ford Australia for the f6 falcon 550nm of torque at 2000 rpm
PS: Why the fuck are American's to defensive about there cars. Ok, you make 2 or 3 decent sports cars, that doesn't make the industry good nor does it make any other car good. Most of your cars are big cheap, fuel guzzling excuses for a penis extension. With no engineering thought put in and then massively protected by government taxes, tariffs and subsidies. They just couldn't compete otherwise, The cars are crap, the reliability is low and the fuel consumption is worse. (yes its a generalisation, but its mostly true).wiki wrote:
The Pontiac GTO was an automobile built by Pontiac from 1964 to 1974, and by General Motors Holden in Australia from 2003 to 2006. It is often considered the first true muscle car. From 1964 until 1973.5, it was closely related to the Pontiac Tempest, but for its final year it was based on the Pontiac Ventura. The 21st century GTO is essentially a left hand drive Holden Monaro, itself a coupe variant of the Holden Commodore.
