I've crashed to the desktop 4 times in the space of 18 hours!!!

3 times I crashed last night, within an hour and a half, and now I've just crashed again!!! What the hell is wrong with this game?! It never used to happen before. I blame Patch 1.2 to be honest - a few things have gone wrong recently since I patched ...

are you running dual core amd am2 ? if so it might be the same problem as the bf2 one, where you have to set the affinity to one core via the task manager

is there a dual threaded patch? if so, uninstall it and use the regular one.

i have a core 2 duo and havent crashed once.

Mine crashes to the desktop often too, think this was introduced with a patch for BF2, for the euro forces pack? Then they tried to fix it a couple of times, never really suceeding and it managed to filter down into the BF 2142 software. What I don't get is that this was widely reported as a bug introduced into a patch, but they have never been able to go back and fix it based on what code they know they changed with that patch.
