it would have been one of my dream jobs, but I don't have the right pre education for it here, would take my a lot of time to get those and then I could start, but its very expensive too.

So how does it work for you guys? When I was at flight school at Pan Am International in Ft. Pierce, Florida, there was an office set up for KLM pilot trainees. I assume KLM paid them to go to training. How did they get that? Is it like a scholarship or something?^*AlphA*^ wrote:

KLM Flight Academy takes care of the transfer to the USA and the places to live, during this training period you will live with other students in apartments in the neighbourhood of the airport. In Arizona is an Dutch Instructor always available, and checks the quality etc etc etc
it said this is Stage 1 of the training, then Stage 2 is here in The Netherlands again

That sounds right then, they did stay in the housing right next to the academy. Wonder how you get accepted to that program.

Well, they looked like new pilots just like I was. But, I had to pay for my training and I figured since KLM sent them there, KLM paid for it. I am just curious how you get hired by KLM. This is obviously entry level since they are not pilots nor have ever flown for an airline. Seems like a pretty good deal.^*AlphA*^ wrote:

the Training cost a lot, but as it seems KLM and others here have Deals with Banks (like ABN Amro) so you can loan the money for the Training, all the students pay for each other also so when you fail you don't need to pay the bank all the cost back for the Training.usmarine2007 wrote:

but since it cost a lot I think the cost for going to the USA is within the whole Training Cost, since it seems (what I'm reading here) that all new KLM Pilots go to the USA.
and other then that you have the usual Medical/Education things you need to have.
