I never had any problems assigning buttons with it, did you install setpoint?

i have the same problem with my mouse but i dunno

Just open Battlefield, go to options -> controls then under the click on the "alternate button" box and click on it, then click the thumb button you would like to assign to that command. Following this you just press apply and you are done.

dam lol im lost on what you just said.  i went to options then controls then on the part where you say then under the click on the "alternate button" box and click on it

or maybe cuz i got vista

ok i got it i just had to reinstall my setpoint thanks for all your help everyone

ya, i didnt even install setpoint with my 518 when i got my new PC. the only thing i liked about that software was when it told you that the batteries were low. but its not worth it and if you cant tell when the batteries are going in your mouse then you dont even need to be on a PC.
