I figured there would be a some of you who would like this Firefox Extension.
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3792/

A timer that counts down the number of days remaining in George W. Bush's term as President of the United States. Clicking on the countdown shows a more detailed timer and enables people to air their grievances on newprez.com. An icon shows when there is a new topic for discussion or a vote. Both Democrats and Republicans can enjoy this extension (for different reasons)!

Mods I posted this in here because it is political in nature and will appeal most to D&ST'ers.

Look, I 'm a staunch supporter of President Bush but see this as the author's inherent right to express
himself as provided by the Second Amendment. Come on. Haven't you heard about picking your fights carefully? Is this the appropriate arena for political backbiting??
Anyone else notice a glaring error?

Well...it sorta bleeds into freedom of 'expression' in a sense...

Yes, yes it is. The man was talking about freedom of Speech, which is in the First Amendment. Which is why I am sad for the state of American education.

As I understand it, the length of the US Presidential term of office is set in stone - 4 years, no more, no less.
[EDIT: unless they get impeached, of course]

Contrast this with the UK Parliament model, where the serving Prime Minister can call an election at a time of his/her choosing, so long as it's not more than 5 years from the last one.  The Labour Party, in the UK, appears to favour approximately 4 years at the moment but in my living memory it's been as little as a few months or as long as 5 years.

I believe Canada follows the UK model in this respect.

Yes, the united states presidents have 4 year terms, starting January 20th (I think) and ending the same day 4 years after.

lmao @ Barack Obama cleaning things up. He is the biggest Washington insider there is. All he has ever done is things that will get him closer to the presidency. He has no record in Congress and no experience yet everyone says he will clean things up. All he has shown is that he is power hungry and will do and say anything to move up in the government except actually gaining experience and accomplishing anything. If anything he is more dangerous as he will be completely in the pocket of all the people who put him in power and he will have no laurels to rest on.
