It's always about Iraq and all the damn suicide bombings. We need to pull out and spend the hundreds of billions of dollars in securing our borders and our homeland instead of wasting it on those fucks that don't even care that we're there.

China scares me the most but certainly the debacle in Iraq is foremost in the news everyday.

Iran.
Achmadenijad is a scwewwy wabbit. Of the afforementioned options, i find that situation the most scary.
My comments on two other inflamatory topics:
Global warming: in the 70s Time Magazine ran an article on Global Cooling. Now we're warming up. Someone prove to me that this warming trend is man-made. I think it's arrogance to think that the human race could single-handedly disrupt the global climate in less than half a millenium.
Iraq: no one knows the truth about what is going on over there. I just trust our leader because the people who are charged with giving us the news are biased elitists.

I see a lot of interesting opinions about these topics, but i miss one item on the agenda and wich i think is a growing problem so to speak, and that is overpopulation! yes its a big planet and there is stil a lot of space, but is there wnough resorces in the world to hold all of us as we grow biger and biger every year? humanty is not decreasing in number and with this rate the planet wil be exhausted pretty fast IMO.
When animals becomes overpopulatet in the general area it lives in it is endangering its own exictens because of its growing population right? so whats the solution to this problem??
kill som of them to reduce the danger of the race to implode under its own weight..!
Just a thought though...
But to answer the original question: The Price of Oil
because that afects every country in the whole world...!

You missed one:
Asteroid strike.
Asteroid strike.
Oil. It is the only thing on the list that is likely to affect me. Possibly China because of thier economic policies.
Political/Media scare tactics are working on you all quite well on you all. How sad/pathetic...

Hemoroid Strike??
To me it is global warming. Everything else in the poll has currently a more regional impact rather then global.
Global Warming - a real global issue and whats wrong caring about your environment. I mean you don't take a dump in your own living room and leave the sh*t there. We try to use our car only if really necessary and our energy for the house comes from a solar system we installed last year.
Iranian Nuclear Plans - not an issue to me as they currently don't have any impact on me or my family.
Israel-Palestine Conflict - not an issue, if they want to kill them selfs, its their decision.
The Price of Oil - I spent less the $30 dollars a month on gasoline. No issue.
North Korean Nuclear Weapons - As long as they don't threaten to drop them on somebodies head its a none issue.
African Poverty (inc. Sudan, Zimbabwe, Somalia turmoil) - hunger, poverty and human rights violations are an issue - two tribes smashing their heads is not.
Iraq War - See Israel-Palestine conflict.
Afghanistan War - see above.
The Rise of China - Not yet an issue because the exact impact is not known.
International Drug Cartels - None issue.

I voted global warming. It's already affecting us and still some people don't realize it's happening.
Or they choose to not care/believe ( see the topics about it )snuten_i_sjoholmen wrote:

At topic i would say the rise of China it affects me in person more than the others closely followed by the price of the oil.
1.) Population growth (with contributes unchecked to 2, 3 & 4).
2.) Destruction of the environment.
3.) Wasting natural resources.
4.) Poverty / living conditions.
5.) The inability of religious institutions (around the world) to actually arrive at an enlightened Ecumenical stance on common spirituality (the un-unique human condition). That stance would accept the commonality of myth, faith, undeserved "certainty" (actual humility). It would accept all faiths based upon the symbolic, and would even have to embrace atheism, agnosticism, along side "belief" as a way of being.
6.) I am also concerned about the continuing effect(s) of disspesationalism (apocalyptic thought) on America and the American mindset (and its' Muslim alter-ego: Jihad and the great Satin).
7.) Ignorance in the world (this is something that can never be utterly defeated).
8.) The effect of Abortion, not as a spiritual issue, but rather as an indication / one-example of failing values in the West, when compared against low birth-rates in many Western countries.
9.) Nuclear arms control.
2.) Destruction of the environment.
3.) Wasting natural resources.

Price of Oil, it's the only one that effects me.
(note I don't care if the price goes up or down, I just have to keep track of it)

Well i voted GW, its the only real global issue there atm, im sure in time others will become more of a global issue and will effect more than a handful of countries if left unchecked.
Because its crazy at this period in time, when i see proof of this 'Global cooling' then i will consider believing this bollocks of a theory.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Yea, global warming is my biggest concern, in 100 years our planet could be in ruins if we dont do something about it.
Global cooling is an equally valid theory to global warming. Global cooling happens. The trend however is towards global warming. Volcanoes, for example, often cause global cooling by blocking out solar energy rather than trapping it.ELITE-UK wrote:

Greater understanding of global cooling and how we can cause it is one of the best hopes of combating global warming.
i want to say Iran Nukes and Rise of China. So i just voted Rise of China
15 more years! 15 more years!
Oil price, because it's the only thing that affects me.
no...they all affect you, just not directly.PBAsydney wrote:

Excuse me while we negotiate with Russia to resurrect the Soviet Union, the cold war and the threat of mutual atomic annihilation. At least the US will have a counterbalance.DeathUnlimited wrote:
