Is BF2142 a better game? I have heard alot of gamers say they got bored of BF2142 very quickly after purcahsing it.

Yes. 2142 is optimized for teamwork and so are the points. I've had far better luck with squad teamwork in 2142 compared to BF2. Plus, 2142 runs soooo much more smooth.
Yes of course, you don't have aircraft and armor raining down hellfire ontop of you every second, and it's more infantry based.
I prefer it cause of the more infantry based combat, I miss Wake and Jets from bf2 still.

2142 is more friendly to the casual gamer. You don't find yourself playing for 1000 hours to get high ranks. On the other hand if you like to spent and ungodly amount of time on a single game so you can get ribbons and medals with no real reward points wise go for BF2. They both have their individual strengths and weaknesses.
2142 is much better. Better play period. BF2 just sucks and it seems that no matter where you go now there is nothing but cheaters/glitchers/whatever someone always seems to do alot of bullshit kills.

When BF2 was the same age as 2142 (about five months old). I was way more happy with BF2. BF2 was better when it was still as young as 2142 is now.
I agree with you, Superior. However, since I played BF2 since release I remember the huge bugs that Bf2 had and how frustrating that could be at times. I have yet to experience a bug in 2142 that really hurt gameplay for me. For my individual experience, 2142 wins.

Why? The tanks engine is in the back and if that one goes kaboom you wont be driving for long. Aerial units now need some skills to handle good and someone who can aim with the secondary. I hear people say every noob can fly now, well yeah ofcourse its not that hard. But being able to pwn in it does require some more than being a noob.Delphy wrote:

Gunship is a very good weapon as long as there are no AA EMP whorers on the map... And yeah any noob can fly them takes no skill to fly it but it takes skill to get a lot of kills with it without dieing.

2142 for me! I enjoy the rank and unlock systems. The pins are a nice addition as well.
BF2 took way to long to rank up and unlock more weapons.

For the moment I'm all for 2142 even though I really enjoyed BF2 for a very long time.
I don't know why, I seem to do better in BF2142.
Since I was never that much of a vehicle guy in BF2 I like the fact that nothing is overpowered in BF2142.

If it is laggy, either upgrade your comp or find another server. I have found 2142 to be more graphic intensive than Bf2 because of the weather effects (snow etc) and because Bf2 didnt have a giant flying, moving aircraft carrier that everyone (with a brain ) whores out to get 50 or so team work if the enemy are intent on destroying the guns for points of their own.

project reality was fun for awhile and the sound effects are insanely cool,but the maps are just way too boring for me.80% of them are nothing but forests and hills.Al Basrah(sp?) was the only map i enjoyed.
