BF2S Forums Next Election

The U.S.A. is the self proclaimed centre of western civilization. The term "democracy" goes hand in hand with that title. It's an absurd thought that the U.S. citizens could ever allow a dictatorship to be formed. If it were to happen, the process would probably be veiled in terms such as "Freedom" and "Liberation". I won't speculate any further, since it's almost impossible for this to happen.

The American people would be smart enough to prevent such a thing.

Usually, the people who become dictators are liked by those they intend to rule. Just looking at these forums, very few topics about the president are absent of the word "stupid".

To p[ut this in my perspective, Bush did not knock down the twin towers. Him and his admin just took considerable advantage of it by carrying out thier agenda on Iraq. It was an opportunity siezed.


As far as my post here with quoatations, it implies there will be a scare tactic by the government. Kind of like every election the "crayon box color terrorism alert scare the shit out of you to vote for me system" turns Red.

And to clear it up, I even say this is far fetched. But the shit we have bought from this admin, Im willing to believe my fellow Americans will believe anything.

Someone would.  The possibility of armed response to elimination of freedoms keeps the government in check.

Dude, there were no stolen elections. Gore lost, straight up, the electoral college election. And that's the only one that matters. Quit bitching.

And yes, its unlikely. It's damn near impossible. Not only is it illegal, and would cause a revolt among the American people like no one has seen since 1776, but it's not even logical.

No it can't. The constitution has never been suspended, and has no provisions within it for suspension. Lincoln briefly suspended habeus corups, and his action was overturned by the supreme court.
