is it just me?
I have always thought that people in Scotland are not the brightest, mainly Glasgow where I live. I am not saying that they are lacking intelligence, but what I am saying is that with most people intelligence does not come with common sense.
People in Glasgow seem to be either Stupid, or Intelligent but lacking common sense. I don't have any hard proof of this, but I am making my mind up by the people I see in the streets and on the bus.
For example. Today at lunch I popped out to the shops to get a packet of sandwiches from Marks and Spencer's. They have a side entrance which leads up to the sandwiches and other lunch type snacks so that you can quickly get in and out on your lunch break without having to slalom past the Old Grannies out for a wander. So I get my sandwiches, walk down the stairs and at the top of the stairs there is a woman who decides that she is just going to stop and get in the way of everyone so she can check her change. No though what so ever to move to the side and get out of every ones way. Then I get to the bottom and there is another woman who decides to stop right in the doorway to check what the weather is like! So twice now I have almost bumped into people because they did not think about what their actions might cause.
I thought that it might be a female thing, but I am not going to pin this on that reason as there are plenty of men who are just the same.
Another example is when you get onto the bus in the morning. Men and women do it. They rush to the front of the cue to beat everyone else onto the bus, but then walk slowly along inside the bus and take ages to decide what seat to take. I mean COME ON, it is not that hard!
