I recently DLed PRM and all the servers that i play on have extremely high ping(usually 150+) for me. Are all the servers in Europe or somewhere or does the mod require more bandwidth than BF2 or what? I usually get about 50-70 ping in US BF2 servers, so I am greatly confused. Those of you that play this mod, i would appreciate your responses.

Yes, my ping is also higher. I usually have about 20 - 50 ping but with PRMM I have about 100 - 130 ping.

It's more about who can load the fastest and have decent aim while camping at the first flag in a good position. Yeah, the pings seem a little higher.>LOD<Dougalachi wrote:

I had a really good server yesterday with a ping of only 34.
However, it was a tad unstable - some people got disconnected.
Settings to find servers:
Unranked
Punkbuster (optional)
Ping 100
Same mod
Same version
No password
Etc. I can't remember it all.

My ping is actually lower on PR than on Vanilla. Normally I would get 60-80, but now I get ~ 40-50. Not much of a change, but its noticeable.
Eh, it does. but only cause there arent as many near-by servers
I've noticed that the ping is a little higher, infact it seems like that with most mods. Doug I want to play with you.

But you can have a higher ping on a PR server without having problems...

less servers mean less chance of having one near you, so yeah I often find more higher ping servers.
However even pings of high hundreds don't seem to make a difference, while I can barely stand over 100 on vBF2....
I don't really understand that, or how you guys could do it better then they guys who made the game

Yeah, I think most servers are out of the states. Seen a lot of European servers.
Not true. In PR, at a ping of 204, two minutes into the game I was still lagging so badly (and my rig's not that bad) that the view updated once every second and the sound was choppy at about the same speed.R@ge wrote:

Maybe a special case because it's no problem playing PR with that ping as far as i know...
