Myself I really like the special relationship with the USA that we have had since the second world war.

As for Europe I would rather get more away from it, theres too many differances between countrys and Brussels has too much power over the UK decision making.

So people from the UK how do you feel about it, hell even if your not from the UK please post what you think about the topic.

You realy shouldnt have opened this up to the floor. Im pretty sure you are interested in what your fellow country men think on this matter as that is all that is realy important.

My personal view is less ties. Much less ties with America about the same with Europe though.

I didnt want to leave people out and get there backs up and also people from the UK can post there views as well as vote.

Less ties with both.... The U.K. is probably best off economically by distancing itself from the E.U. and the U.S.

The U.S. sucks your country into unnecessary wars. The E.U. makes you fund poor nations that mostly just waste your money.

The UK is in a unique position; on one hand it has cultural and linguistic ties to the US and on the other it has geographic ties to th EU. I think the smartest thing for the UK to do would be to maintain healthy ties to both, but not to be tied solely to either.

France, Germany, and Russia (actually, I think Poland now) all helped to win the Revolutionary War against our "true friends" who then proceeded to burn our capital less than 50 years later. France has been an ally longer so I don't rightly know why the Brits get top ally spot.
