Well my DVD Drive is all screwed, but not the DVD Drive, just the drivers and all that, I havent played Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 since October, If I download from EA Link for 39.99$, would I be able to play from that? Is it up for redownloading like Steam does? Do I require any sort of discs? Can I use my old CD Key from the disc?
You will get a new regristration key if im not mistaken. You will not be required to use a CD.
you can download a no-cd/dvd-patch / fixed exe gamecopyworld.com (firewall on)
This would be the smarter option.BanG89 wrote:

I'm trying the NO-DVD patch option first. ATM I'm downloading 1.20 and at
GameCopyWorld - It says all these trainers, these are the NO-DVD patches, am I correct or am I not?
Or is it something else? I'm not a big fan of NO-CD patches especially since the last NO-CD patch I applied to my Battlefield 2, it only lets me play 3 minutes of Battlefield 2 then disconnects.

For Battlefield 2
I get kicked after playing a few in a server with the message "Corrupted Memory(####)"
For Battlefield 2142
the readme says
The NOGRP crack will never work for this game as you would need a valid key
for it to work online! And even then it will not work as the server would
detect a patched exe. Our version will work like our original release. If you
want to play online use hamachi (or buy the game!).

I didn't quite understand your original post. Are you saying that you have the purchased games but you're unable to use the discs because your DVD drivers are messed up?
Yeah I purchased them long time ago
I only played 2142 for only like 3 weeks then boom goes my dvd drivers.. I'm not too smart w/ drivers so I didn't bother tangling with it.
I even tried 2 DVD Drives and none of them worked thx to it. I'm not precisely sure, I Assume its my drivers.

Soooooo, just wipe your drivers completely and reinstall them. If that doesn't work then there's probably something wrong with the actual drive. Ultimately its only going to cost you $20-30 for a brand new DVD drive if you can't remedy the problem... and that's not bad at all.
OK Now that didn't work
should I just purchase the download from EA Link for 39.99$?
Is it redownloadable if I deleted it?

2: Yes, it is.
Why don't you use a mini-image instead?
Those are generally better than cracks. Doesn't edit any files...

Alright, You CD-Rom is dead correct? And you question is if EA Link works like steam. Yes it does.
Once you purchase your game(s) if you happen to uninstall them. You can reinstall them. So no disks, No putting in Cd-Keys or anything along those lines.

There's a virtual drive creator called Alcohol 120%. You can download a BF2 CD image from the internet and mount it on a virtual drive, allowing you to play without a CD or DVD ever again!

On second thoughts, no, I'm not helping. I suspect you're lying because A) it is more expensive to buy the game again than just fix the current issue, B) when people want to illegally get a game they often say they already have it, just so someone will tell em how they can get it illegally.
Sorry. Fix your drivers/buy a new DVD drive. The end.
Also, it is illegal to download a full disc image of a game. It is not illegal to download a mini-image, but mini-images do not work for 2142 - well, they work for some, according to claims, but most can't get em to work (use Google and you'll see what I mean). The reason it is illegal to download a full disc image is because if you have the disc... you can make your own image. If you download a full disc image, you are technically getting a -second original- (which does not count as a protective backup), which you should have to pay for.

If you want proof that I'm not lying I'll take a picture
BRB gona take a picture of it w/ my PSP

If you can prove to authorities you own a game, then it can be counted as just creating a backup. You are legally allowed to download any game with a CD key, as long as you BOUGHT the CD key. You are paying nothing for the box and a disk because some poor Taiwanese 3 year old baby is making them, and the CD-Key printed on the paper by some large fat guy who only eats burgers costs £24.99!Auqakuh2213 wrote:

Well here it is

in yo face
well then don't play it, jackass.
your finger is see through
No. You are paying for a license - in this case, a license to use -1- (-one-) DVD copy of the game. A download of a full disc image is a -second- copy, as I said before. Since you already have -1- (-one-) DVD variety license, you can't use the second without buying the license for a second.leetkyle wrote:

Legally speaking, making an image of a disc -you- have the license to use is not illegal, no. But only -your- disc - not anybody else's, and downloading an image from online = downloading someone else's disc image. They're breaking their license (and as such aren't actually even entitled to their own copy), and you're breaking the law by downloading it.
This is why forums do not allow discussion of downloading full disc images, or where to find them, or how to use them.
