its cool whenever you get a new badge, ribbon or medal on your bf2 account....something satisfying about that drum roll during play and the big side bar pop out up near your radar.....mmmmmmm

but after playing for a time now i have begun to see a few awards that are not being giving to players and have now written down here some new ones which EA and dice should strongly consider:

The Noob-Tube ribbon of merrit:

awarded to players who dont know that in real life the minimum arming distance of a GL round is further than they actually shoot their rounds on the game (i.e. POINT BLANK)

IAR: 20 kills
IAR: 15 deaths from explosive at close quaters

Helicopter/jet "sharing is shit" award :

awarded to players who believe the only way their team will win the round is if the player ALWAYS uses a specific jet/chopper for the ENTIRE round

IAR: 5 team kills (but only team members waitng for vehicle to re-spawn...how dare they ride in your     vehicle...dont they know its got your name on it!!!)

Rambo commanders badge of personal conduct:

awarded to players who become commander in a round and run all over the map using the ARTY, UAV and supply drops for their own personal use, regardless of what the rest of the team wants or needs.

IAR: absolutly no communication with those pesky squad leaders...you can win this 64 player map on your own.

Vetran Noob badge of power up:

awarded to the player who finds every "red skull power up" on the map and then presses punish in the hope they get bonus points for their character

IAR:20 deaths from "red skull power up"

Support/medic ribbon of non-compliance:

awarded to player who think the ammo/medic bag is for their own use and cant be dropped in case they need it later in the round

IAR: ingnore 10  players standing right in front of you asking for ammo/first aid

Vetran Ji-hud explosives badge:

awarded to players who constantly place 8 ton of C4 onto a fast moving vehicle (quad bike or dune buggy)and then proceed and high speed into tanks and APC's then explode the lot and killing themselves

IAR: 10 armour kills
IAR: 10 simultaneous deaths by own explosives

Forgetful sniper badge of stupidity:

awarded to sniper class of player who climbs a building, places claymore at top of ladder and then later dies...to come back and climb same ladder and be killed by own claymore

IAR: 1 stupid kill for not looking for red skull....no matter how good the sniping spot is

Chopper pilot ribbon of education:

awarded to the player who jumps in the pilot seat of the black hawk and waits til the chopper is fully loaded then takes off and lets his fellow passengers know that he did not learn how to fly

IAR: 5 team kills in ONE BIG CRATER on the map

Anti armour badge of dumb-ass:

awarded to the player who truly thinks that bulltes from his pistol are really going to finish off that tank

IAR: 50+ 9mm pistol rounds fired at armour class vehicles

Id have to agree on most of those.

EA is to blame on the helo/jet hogging/non sharing whatever. They give medals to those who do...certain amount of minutes and so many kills. Hard to get with one try a round. They should give for stuff like high K/D ratio and such. Anyone can get alot of points...but how many times do they die, costing the teams points, doing it?

Hitchhiker Ribbon

Awarded to those that sit in the passenger seats of friendly vehicles on a constant basis, rather than get out and actually help the team capture the flag in front of them. Must avoid confrontation with the enemy at all costs.

IAR: 0 kills
IAR: 20 minutes as a passenger in any vehicle(s)
IAR: Force at least 5 teamates to yell "bail out" at you

Gunner Seat Reservation Ribbon

Awarded to those pilots, who didn't lift of the chopper, until one of their mates approach the helo pad, even if they have to wait for minutes and then yell 20 times "get out" until you leave the seat and the mate can take the warmed up place.

IAR: 10 minutes in a chopper without flying
IAR: 20 times yelling "get out"

Gunner Seat Reservation Medal

This is especially created for that asswipe, that TK's me, because I waited a few secs to long for him, before I leaved the gunner seat.

Global: 10 hours in a chopper without flying
IAR: 35 times yelling "get out"
IAR: 5 Teamkills with Chopper

"wait and drive off " award

Wait for a teammate to get within 5 yards of the vechile your driving and then decide to move away.
You then have to reply to their "Requesting a pick up" appeal with either a "negative"  or by laughing through your headset at them.

IAR: 5 drive TK punsihments.

I give a shit for my team Badge:

I agree with some of them but I don't not agree with:

Helicopter/jet "sharing is shit" award:
It must be a ribbon for those who wait the entire round in the hangar, get killed a billion times by the enemy bomber, earn 0 points, never make it in the plane because the old crew is faster and fly with the plane once. When they just take off, the round is over.

Wait for Aviator/Chopper Ribbon:
IAR: 20 deaths by enemy bomber while waiting in the hanger
IAR: 0 kills, 0 teamworkpoints
IAR: less than 1 minute in a chopper/aviator

Gunner Seat Reservation:
A team with two people knowing each other, are on teamspeak so they can point themselves some targets etc. is more valueable then an anonymous team of two guys who never played before.
I've seen a team who were great in the chopper. They were both on top of the scoreboard until Mr. "I want to fly" makes it in pilot seat first.

"Destroy a good chopper team" Ribbon:
IAR: make it in a chopper which team is on top of the scoreboard
IAR: 20 deaths in a chopper
IAR: less than 5 driver kill assists
IAR: less than 5 kills with a chopper

Dickhead who keeps inverting my mouse award.
Awarded to the faggot who inverts my mouse before I fly a plane or chopper, so my passenger(s) think I'm a dumbass while I franticly try to get used to up as up and down as down instead of the traditional way of down being up and up being down.

Sorry, I'm just bitter. I hate the guy who keeps doing that though!

Bus Stop Ribbon
Awarded to soldiers who stand clueless waiting for that vehicle that never comes...

Driving Miss Daisy Ribbon
This award is given to soldiers who beckon teammates into a vehicle then proceed to give them a scenic tour of the country. For some inexpliciable reason they are determined to go in the opposite direction of the flag/combat/anything of interest. And, by the time you figure out that you accidently hopped on Happy Larry's Magic Bus Tour, you're at least 2 minutes away from where you thought you were going. Are we there yet?

Helen Keller Ribbon for Friendly Mine/Claymore Detection
This award is given to those soldiers adept at finding friendly mines and claymores. Kudos to you, solider.

Awarded for running full-speed at a tank with a pistol

How about an award for those people who hijack your FAV while you're shooting the enemy attack chopper?

They then drive off at breakneck speed swerving left and right ruining any hope of you getting a good shot off, and you're both mauled by a TV missile moments later. Can we get a ribbon for this?

Also: I've got the...
Chopper Pilot Ribbon of Education
Anti-Armour Badge of Dumb-Ass
Noob-Tube Ribbon of Merit
Medic Ribbon of Non-Compliance

How about you?

I always get morons on Iron Gator that hijack my boat I'm using to guard the well deck. There'll be 4 other empty boats, but they insist on hopping in mine. I usually have to say "bail out" 50 times before they get the hint. A lot of people would get that award.

I have some very good friends... but not only in the game... playin' this after having a few beers with my friends... I have a life outside! So don't piss at me, cos your definition of friend, is your mate on the gunner seat.

Ok I havnt read them all yet (these are great by the way) but I think I would of gotten the:
"Rambo commanders badge of personal conduct"
In all fairness I did drop supply, uavs, and artty for the squads most of the time but I did run around and snag a round score of 183...so figured it wasnt all bad.

Though I would like to add the:

Suicidal Ranger badge

IAR: 10 deaths from falling less then 10 feet while smacking the "9"
Global: 50 deaths from falling less then 10 feet while smacking the "9" on the same map (and probably the same spot)

Alt-weapon badge

IAR: 1 kill using only machingun while driving armor
15 minutes in armor without firing main cannon

(this is why i am a tank whore...I cant stand people who do this)

All-soldiers are the same badge

IAR:20 times command ordering a sniper to fix blown up support equipment

-Wolf

one  more to add...and anyone that plays commander knows this:

Mutinous Dog:

IAR: Call for mutiny 10 times
5 minutes in a round no commander, commander mutinied against must retake command
        Swap teams 2 times
Global: Swap teams 50 times
           Call mutiny 100 times

Had to add it, pissed off.    Playing commander and someone joined from the other "clan" by swapping teams.  He proceeded to vote mutiny every moment he could.  Once people finally got fed up seeing it and voted yes, I lost command naturally....then NOBODY takes command until my 5 minute of no commander was up, and surprise surprise I got it right back.

Support/medic ribbon of non-compliance:

awarded to player who think the ammo/medic bag is for their own use and cant be dropped in case they need it later in the round

IAR: ingnore 10  players standing right in front of you asking for ammo/first aid

Haha, that's my favorite. All the time I say I need a medic here, one right in front of me and I'm like drop the fucking pack! Two mins later I get hit by 1 bullet and die. So sad.
