without a doubt one of the best things to do when you just want to have some fun. There's not much like barricading a door with three vending machines, and then warding off 10 zombies trying to jump in through the window, all the while praying that your barricade can hold out for long enough untill the time runs out.

If you find a good server, running decent maps, infection mode (if you stab someone they become a zombie too), and a proper player base it's genius. The only thing that bugs me is the complete lack of quality in many of the maps. I'm working on my own, but there's a few good ones out there to keep my happy for now. Akron is a good server to play on if you're in the US, FDG is decent in europe.

If you haven't given it a try yet search for a zombie infection server on game-monitor and enjoy

I love infection mode hehe and i think its spelt this way lila_panic ?? its a good map anyway

edit : map is zm_lila_panic_v2 btw always play on unlimited ammo servers aswell

Don't fret, it's not your average fullbright OMG SO THATS HOW YOU MAKE WALLS map, I've put lots of work into this to make it look nice, keep the size down, be different, and work well for zombie mode

Oh and vilhalm, you don't need to download any mods, although if you connect to a zombiemod server you will have to download some models and sounds for it work properly

One of the few games I still have genuine fun playing. Last night I spent 4 hours with three friends in teamspeak barricading the long hallway on lila (the one with one vending machine at the end). We managed to hold out for the remaining 1:30 as the only 4 survivors with 20+ zombies trying to rush us.

I'm hoping that Left 4 Dead is just as much fun when it comes out.

Wow, you were about ummm.... 6 months late from the best server ever.
We had the -=AN=- Zombie Mod server, where ALL the regulars from bf2s would come. That server was always full. We had Ninja, Cougar, Wilhelm, Sarrk, Tyferra, Me, Spawn (but we wont talk about him:P)

i have done that for the longest time , but u become a noob go to a non-unlimited ammo server THAT SHIT IF FUCKING INTENSE lol u must have a strong team to win

If i remember correctly you just join a zombie server and it downloads everything for you,skins,map,sounds...

What guns do you all use,i used to use the Desert Eagle and that pump shotgun.

I like the auto shotgun on unlimited ammo servers, there's nothing better to save you when you're the last person left holding off a horde of zombies trying to break through a doorway to get you

also, you might like to know that you can easily destroy barricades by pressing e (use) on objects. They will move, slowly, and sometimes even fall over. It seems to be a little known secret in zombie servers and i've destroyed a fair few barricades like this

Honestly, I find that the 12-Gauge is the opponent's worst player. I've been accused of hacking so many times, and I'm not even overly good with it.

As Jesse mentioned I did play this a while ago. It's bloody hard to find a good server for me, first I need to have my ISP having a good day, (increasingly rare,) and then find a server which is good. Unlimited Ammo is bullshit, as are some of the maps. I miss the -=AN=- server which had good maps, but it's downside was that Jesse reckoned my barricades were too good so broke 'em before the zombie spawned.

The world needs more awesome Zombie games. ZM will hold me until that happens. Left4Dead looks cool and I hope that turns out to be awesome when it is released. The thing with ZM is that it's unrealistic for the Zombie genre. Zombies are generally taken out in one headshot rather than being running bullet magnets and to counter that there needs to be heaps of them. Alo, if you're 'bitten' it should take a while to become zombified so your team mates arn't panicing as soon as your bitten and then WAM! 'Oh fuck he's one of them!"
Still, a good effort for a mod really. With the CS setup it's kind of impossible to have 'real' zombies.

Oh yeah, and I mostly use the Pump Shottie and the Deagle, but sometimes changed them for the P90 and the five-seven/duals.

MP5 and P90 are also very good on unlimited ammo servers IMO.
there is also a office map with big boxes in it if your in a corner of a room and then pull 1 of those to yourself then you just get pulled in the box perfect hiding place if your last 1 left
