Help me remember this movie

Yo, eagal here. I need some help remembering a movie. Now, i remember only some parts of it, and i want to see it again.

Mmmkay, I believe the topic of it was something based on hacking. I remember, in the movie, there was this kid who could connect to a virtual life from his computer. He would put on this thing and appear in a totaly different life, on the internet. But then at the end he gets confused as to what is real and fake... I think.
Err.. anyone recognize that?

Sounds similar to that one Jude Law movie that completely sucked it up back in the day... eXistenZ. About some futuristic virtual reality thing that looked like a pulsing tumor. In the end they couldn't tell what was reality and what was virtual reality. Sorry, but I guess this didn't help you at all.

Do watch "eXistenZ" - forget "Lawnmower Man" ever existed.

(can you tell I think "eXistenZ" is a fantastic movie and that "Lawnmower Man" is the biggest pile of shite ever to be very very loosely based on a stephen king short story (in fact, read the short story instead of watching the film - it's actually good))

No, i dont think thats quite it.

Man, i remember him coming home and getting on this cool looking computer, and (maybe putting on a helmet type thing) and he would appear in a virtual world... Man i wish i knew more!
Also, at the end, he's trying to stop some guy and it turns out that was a virtual world too.. Keep trying guys. And i am dling exitenz

EDIT: There were people in the virtual world, it was like a hang out and meeting place. Not neccesarily game.

if it helps that sounds a lot like a book i read awhile back, the netforce series by Tom Clancy.

edit: sounds ALOT like netforce, which was apparently made into a made for TV movie back in 99, according to wiki.
