Okay, so I'm a bit sluggish now, but a friend told me something I had to check out, and I took a round of Battlefield 2. Astounded over what I found, I played some SF to confirm my beliefs. And lo, I was convinced.
We can say that the training for being a medic, special forces operative, sniper or engineer is more "brainy" than that of a basic assault guy; that is, more fancy equipment, less big guns. So behold the skin colours of these particular kits! The more "gunny" of them have all African-American (I'm trying to be diplomatic) skins, while the "brainy" are all "white".
And in SF, none of the special forces teams have Afro-American skins! Why? None of the blacks made it through?
I'm not sure where I'm going (or who's computer this is), but there IS a pattern, isn't there? Also, my friend said, in BF2142, if the EU wears armour, they're black. If not, they're white. If the PAC wears armour, they're big mean Russkies. If not, they're small Chinese people. Stereotypes, generalisations, small-Asians-and-whites-don't-wear-armour-only-big-black-and-Russian-people-do. Oh my. Oh my!
What do you say? Is there a deep Aryan conspiracy left in Sweden, or was a graphic designer just watching too many war films (and failed to catch Animal Mother in FMJ)? Or is it all some mystical, cosmical coincidence?
