Isnt it a bit hypocritical to allow 17 year old kids to go to war because its their choice, but they are not allowed to drink alcohol and/or smoke? I mean it would be weird: you would be old and mature enough to kill people but not enough for drinking and/or smoking?Vilham wrote:

When I went through Marine Corps boot camp in 98 we had 2 or 3 guys that were 17, and they graduated when they were still 17. I know you still can because when I was an Instructor at the School of Infantry west coast, I had plenty of kids that were 17. But it is a Marine Corps order that you can not deploy to a combat zone until your 18yrs of age, I know this beacuse when I was acting Plt Sgt in 3/5 I had to make sure all my guys were 18 before we deployed to Iraq.usmarine2007 wrote:

I don't support them. I just fail to see how all the ill in the world can be attributed to them, as people such as yourself love to do. Further, you don't tell me what to defend, and this has nothing to do with rules, but, rather, agreements. The soldiers were accidently deployed anyway.
