The other side of the argument is how much would it cost the US if the were fight terrorism on American soil? $245B could be chump change in that aspect. I don't know if I subscribe to that idea neither since that money could go a long way into strengthening our first responders and our borders also. I do know that whether or not you disagree the war you should not be voicing your opinion by refusing to supply the troops with what they need to be safe. Go after the people that made the policy not the soldiers who are doing what their country ask of them.
