I have tried everything I can that you guys have suggested and Its still not working!! AAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!
NO MATTER WHAT I DO, THE GAME ALWAYS CRASHES ON THE FULL BLACK SCREEN AFTER ABOUT 1/2 A SECOND!! HELP ME!!!!

1) Reinstall
2) Download the patch from a new source (I.E: here or here )
3) Re-Patch
4) Install all extras/addons like SF, AF, EF.
5) Patch it again.
6) Reboot machine, load game.

If that doesn't work, you're screwed.

Edit: Post your system specs so we can help you better, settings-wise.

on my last thread there was something about a config file and a default resolution my monitor probably wouldnt support. How do I tinker with that?

You just halved your Videocard's RAM. Why would you mess with unsupported screen resolutions?

fenris, i think the idea was, it is currently set to a res he cant support, and it needs changing to one he can.

How do/did you mess up the G-card memory? I have never seen anyone do that before!

BTW, link to the old thread please, you should have probably just posted in that one. How far do you get before the crash, is it before you get to the HQ? or in a round.

What graphics card is it? Only times I've seen graphics memory drop are a) when the cards fucked, b) when you've tried to OC the card and it's fucked, or c) if it's onboard graphics with shared RAM and the bios has defaulted.

yeah sounds like an onboard card thats lost its way to the system ram, probably on a driver reinstall...either way your screwed as you will be lucky if you get 10fps from onboard video.

of course I could be wrong, post the gfx card and we'll know.
