Bush is the worst president in US history, THAT'S the fact of the matter. If the Democrats had a president as shiity as him the situation would be a complete flip. (Neo-cons whining, dems looking the other way).
Liberals support gay marriage, neo-conservatives don't. Liberals support the right for a women to do what the fuck she wants with her own god damn body, neo-conservatives don't. Liberals aren't the ones saying "You're either with us or against us".
I admit there are some pretty dumb liberals (I'm not very liberal fyi), but there are some equally dumb and idiot neo-conservatives.
Notice I don't even use the word "Conservative". The true conservatives are voting for the Democrats, as you saw in the last election. True conservatives have been hijacked by the new wave of Republicans, Bush for example.
Any true conservative knows and believes the government should stay where it belongs : Out of peoples lives. Nowadays it seems liberals are more conservative than Republicans are. lol!
Bush being the worst president in US History is not fact, its your opinion. The same argument could be made for Clinton bombing an aspirin factory in Baghdad by mistake to take the heat from his getting caught showing monica how to smoke a cigar in the oval office... The same argument could be made for Jimmy Carter allowing the jihad loving Muslim fundamentalists overrun the Shah in the 70's thereby paving the way for Ahmadinajihad.
You say that Liberals supporting gay-marriage / using abortion as a form of contraception / opposing stability in the world (i've paraphrased of course) as being a good thing? I don't care what people do on their own time and in their own bedrooms but you cannot and will not make me accept killing babies or billy marrying tommy a good thing. I'm not a homophobe, I just don't think that a sexual preference should be the business of the state and is certainly not equivalent to the civil rights movement of the 60's.
as far as the last election, the Democrats didn't win a mandate because in order to do that, they actually have to propose issues that are more substantial than "Bush Sucks"
the kicker is that you believe that liberals acutally want government out of people's lives? okay, lets make a law that allows gay marriage, and then lets ban trans-fats, how about a law that outlaws spanking of kids, let's then keep welfare going - a system that was started for the common good but is now one that taxes me to help support people who work harder at convincing the social security administration that they don't need to work. if you think the government can fix ANYTHING, i would love to see your arguments. Liberals believe that the people exist for the government, which is the opposite of what should be true.
in your world, down is up, up is down, and bush sucks. okay...i would die for your right to express that opinion but if you believe that the world would be a better place had Gore or Kerry had been elected...you'll never convince me or any sane person of that.
Ok...your right, it is my opinion that Bush has done nothing but degrade, disrespect and dishonor the office and this country... but Clintons asprin factory doesnt compare to the cluster fuck or Iraq. Even if you add in the Somalia Debacle. As far as Jimmy Carter, I agree that what happened on his watch was quite demoralizing, but it didnt have the effect that the war on terror has had on our national budget, service people and our image around the world.S o on point A, you fail miserably.
Second, you dont support abortion. Thats your bag. But when crazy people start killing people to prevent it, the government has an obligation to step in. So if you dont like abortion, fine. But who the hell are you to tell anyone else what they can and cant do? Its your opinion, keep it to yourself. Dont bomb clinics and make it part of a political agenda so that it can be made illegal. Thats called forcing your beliefs on others...Same goes for billy marrying tommy. And when gays are getting discriminated against, beaten and prevented from following the American dream of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happyness, it DOES become a civil rights issue. End of story. The gov't only wind up involved in these cases because crazy NUTS push the issue into the political and legal arena. Its those who feel they have the moral authority to dictate to others what they can and cant do that are the problem, not the people living their lives. So you fail again.
On the point of government involvement in health care, spanking, and trans fats, I agree with you that those areas are a bit silly to be regulating. Only a bit though. Considering the current trend of reduced benefits to employees in America, a large population without access to healthcare is a concern. But I do agree that there are many areas that people attempt to over regulate. But then the Bush admin has pretty much shredded the constitution with wiretaps and decided habeas corpus wasn't such a good idea. Personally, I find the attack on constitutional liberty more troubling. But i guess you really need to focus on the 'important' things.
So, I guess im a crazy person. With all that concern for the constitution and not trans fats, actually being able to obtain some perspective, not deciding that what I believe is for everyone else. If that makes me crazy, then I don't want to be sane. But hey, im not the one dictating to everyone one what it is they believe...
