it takes me like 20-30 seonds to load and do the client data thing. But with bf2 it takes close to 3x that.

Because BF2142 is more optimized than BF2.
It would of course be best like BF1942, when loading times were around 10 seconds, all done.

Weird! No BF2 FTW! 2142 sucks! EA/DICE fucked it up remarks in this thread? Where are all those guys now?
Ok, then i'll throw in one to balance this thread all out:
'2142 loads faster because it's only preloaded. The real loading begins when you enter the Titan. That's what causes the lag!'
