Will you be able to join games via the client like Xfire does?

Yes it will have the ability to join through the client and will have various tools such as thing to manage TeamSpeak and Ventrilo servers.

I myself was backing Qtracker (new ASE), but if this works as good as it sounds, you have me converted! I'll give it an eyeball.

Just a idea but why dont you make it interconnected with xfire, that way you can use it for both things at once, it would totally blow xfire out of the water.

You can still chat with XFire users from your XFire contacts list while you're in PXP if that's what you mean.

well, you can talk to anyone on xfire with it.  but other than that, we don't see a need to be connected to Xfire.  we offer every feature they have, plus a lot more.  and the things that we offer that Xfire offers, we do a lot better (like our chat lets you talk to anyone, our server directory lets you search on all sorts of search criteria).  I'm guessing Xfire we'll be intimidated by us.  but, if it helps, you can be signed into playxpert and xfire at the same time.  i was doing it earlier today.

Because not everyone sees a "WE'RE BETTER THAN X COMPANY" and believes it right off the bat. Also, it sounds like a huge memory hog. I'll wait and see though. No doubt that XFire will update their program to be even more jam-packed if your program starts giving them a run for the money.

When it comes to memory, we've built the PLAYXPERT in such a way to minimize impact. We know how important it is to not become a resource burden for the system on which we're running. Having said that, the answer is a variable one. Each widget can impose different impacts on the system - but by default, the widgets themselves impose a limited/negligible impact. This is another reason why we like the approach we're taking on Trusted Vs. Non-Trusted Widgets. For those that are Trusted, we can advertise what the widget does and what the expected impact should be. Because it's a piece of independent code that plugs into our architecture, it could do SETI research on the side and really slow things down - or it could be light as a feature and provide in-game assist.

So basically, the amount of memory used depends on what kind of widgets you have working for you.  As far as just a chat client, it runs about the same amount of RAM as Xfire.

well, we have a pretty good understanding of both xfire and their parent company mtv/viacom.  viacom has put a hold on purchasing anything until their stock price goes up.  i've read that certain people in viacom thought the company paid too much for xfire.  if that is true, i doubt they'll want to spend any extra money on it, and they certainly won't be in a position to buy anyone else out (we wouldn't sell anyway).  think about it:  if you just bought something for 102 million dollars (how much viacom paid for xfire), are you going to spend more money to make it better?  or are you going to leave it like it is and just enjoy its revenue?  i can't say for sure, but my guess is they hold on to xfire, just like it is, as long as it makes money.  if services like ours knock it out of the lead, they will either scrap it and try to develop something new, or sell xfire to someone else.  the way I feel about it is this:  we only make PLAYXPERT.  its quality and features are the most important thing to us.  what gamers think of it is our biggest concern.  viacom owns all kinds of crap (including mtv).  if xfire starts to suck or fails to keep up with technology, how long will it take for someone at viacom to do something about it?  thats a hypothetical question, i don't know the answer but i think my point is valid.  in the world of viacom, xfire isn't really a big deal.  it probably ranks pretty low on the totem pole.  just look at xfire's forums, they are full of complaint and feature requests.  how many of them are addressed?  just about zero.

EA games?  no,no.  i can safely say we remain unaffiliated with any game developers at the moment.  a few companies are interested in us, but we're playing it solo.  it is a big indication of how cool our technology is, though.  we haven't even launched yet and several software companies have contacted us.  i can't/won't drop names, but there are some cool possibilities.
