Why cant BF2 make it so that after you spawn you wont be able to die until like 5 sec after spawn. Games like Unreal Tournament have this. Basically why cant you be invincible after you spawn for 5 seconds? Spawnkilling tanks on Karkand would be hell of a lot less annoying too.

yea that sounds like a good solution, lets see the majority of io servers are set to kark and jalabad. both of those maps set up the us for massive spawn rape if the team is full of nubs, and io is also a nade spammers paradise so your pretty much fucked there as well.peyrac wrote:

like i stated before use common sense. don't spawn where the majority of the teams are massed. also if you join a server and see that there a hundred tickets left on a 64 man server and the us is pinned to one base don't spawn in or switch to the other team.

The spawn somewhere else idea is good unless its your last flag(if you have other flags I agree), yeah yeah yeah if you get one flag you deserver it etc etc etc blla blaa. what if your team suck big time, you alone can't turn it round, does that mean you should be hammered with the plebs in your team.

The only way I could see this working (spawning at a flag being both invisible and invincible for a few seconds) is if you're also unable to fire, otherwise the person spawning will have too much of an advantage.

Then how does Unreal Tournament survive. I like the idea of the inability to die and shoot after spawn. It would reduce the amount of Tking for Jets and stuff because your teammates won't be able to kill you. They should also make it so that, when taking off in a jet, a noob can't run in front of you and get tked and then punish you, by making the planes like holograms to your teammates (you drive right thru them). I don't see how this can go wrong, oh and by the way, I bet those people that called me a noob for whining about getting spawn killed by tanks are probably tank whores and can only feel good if they can use a tank, if they can't they will tk you for it.

Maybe you need to be quicker when you spawn? I very rarely get killed on spawn, because the second i spawn i am jumping/sprinting away.
