Honestly ask him, he could probably give you the best deal. Also hit the big Search button ^^^ there. Enter " best computer parts and you will see this.

Cheap would be $1000 and that would be excellent for BF2.

lol oh man thats funny... BF2 is NOT hard to run...

Assuming you can still find the parts, as they are oldish now.

Athlon 3200+
ATI x800XT
1GB or 2 GB of DDR 400 (Dual channel stuff, I suggest something like corsair value if you're on a budget)
cheap case, 450w PSU, and a mobo that'll take it all.
SATA Hard drives are cheap as dirt so get 1 or 2 of those.

If that costs you more than £300 I'd be supprised.

Thats what my comp used to be like and it shit all over BF2 like it was playing pong, I've just got myself an x1950 to put it in so the x800 has gone bye byes, plays Doom 3 on ultra high with 4x AA with no stuttering at all.

EDIT: Where you from Seth UK or US?

Now im not sure if you asking me where im from of the guy whose thread it is. Anyways im from canada. And running bf2 on all high settings with full AA isnt really ahrd but you cant have a shit gfx card to do that.
