I doubt it'll change my opinion on Hotel Rwanda, which I thought was very well done (though Don Cheadles accent was annoying (not as bad as in Ocean's 11) - compared to Leonardo DiCaprios accent in Blood Diamond, it was excellent). I'm well aware Hotel Rwanda didn't show the brutality of the situation full on, but it hinted at it, while setting the film in a more western setting, making it easier for a western audience to empathise with the characters.
Back to the issue - I think what is happening in Lebannon may well be for the best. A government backed by the people will be much more effective than a government that is in power because they have powerful allies.
