Yeah I am, but i don't have a problem with other people eating meat. If they have a problem with me not eating meat, then that's their fucking problem, not mines. I'm not a skinny shit either, if that's what the general steriotype is.

You will get sick more often. Our bodily functions are not very far off from a caveman. I can see vegitarianism making sense when some types of animals evolve enough to become self aware in the far future but they will probably want a burger themselves...

I have been a vegetarian for 15 years now. I am not getting sick more often, in fact i can't remember the last time I was ill.

Thats probably because the increase in greens is giving you the vitamins you should be getting. People don't understand that they're not getting the nutrients they need even when they think they are 'eating healthy'. Theres only proven to be one nutrient that meat eaters gain that vegetarians cannot, and I forget what it is. It was a small helper in preventing heart disease or cancer or something, but you'll be fine without it. Vegetarianism is just a choice, its really no worse than eating both.

What do you guys do? Any help would be much appreciated.
Well, ive been a vegetarian all my life (religion) but we get our protein from lentils, spinach and other kinds of things like those

Getting your protein from your potatos? Not likely. Try almonds or beans.

Oh, and if you're not vegan, milk is an excellent source of protein, both casein and whey. A 12 oz glass of milk after a workout is the perfect protein supplement.

I don't personally believe in vegetarianism simply because the human body isn't designed to eat just plant matter. Our jaw structure is totally wrong and our intestines are not designed to properly digest and consume just plants. Meat is rich in protein and fats that the body needs.

With that being said, make sure to take a multi-vitamin, and I would strongly suggest eating eggs and drinking milk, full vegan behavior is much more damaging than ovo-lacto vegetarianism. I would also suggest consulting your doctor.

If I'm not mistaken, cottage cheese has more than peanut butter and about half the calories/fat etc.

I have been vegetarian all my life because of my religion. If you want protein you should eat soy products. They have a whole line of soy meat products. I think there good.

I have been a vegetarian for 17 years now and I haven't regretted it once. To be a successful vegetarian it is best if you can cook. Search the internet for recepies of rich, hearty stews (NOT the kind that comes in a can). Vegetarian recepies. I'm not sure if any of those are good, I'll leave that up to you. Ground Round is a great addition to most stews and casseroles like vegetarian Shepard's Pie. When going shopping for produce, don't go to large chain grocery stores. Small independant produce stores are the best for this because their produce will be the freshest. The fresher the fruit of vegetable, the more vitamins it will have. The brand of vegetarian all-in-one pill that I usually get is put out by "Natural Factors". Many people think that supplements are bad but if you want to live a vegetarian life they are very helpful. Many types of nutrients are hard to get in a vegetarian diet and taking healthy, vitamin pills is helpful. Also, try exercising alot. Every second day is good. You will find that you have more energy overall and that you feel healthier.

@liquix: You're thinking of Vegans. Vegetarians restrict their diet to non-meat products. Vegans do not consume anything with animal-made products. Eg/ Eggs, Milk, Honey etc.

@The#1Spot: No. Just no. I am 6 feet two inches and I have been a vegetarian all my life. It is not completely a genetic issue because I am a good 4 inches taller then my fatehr and I have no very tall relatives. If you seriously think that men are gay if they do not eat meat then I pity you. It must be hard to live with sucha skewed view on life.

@lowing: Don't justify your lifestyle choices by using the Bible. If you had actually read the entire book you would not be christian in any way. Proving the Bible is Repulsive

@Brizzzer: Your ideas on evolution are i ncorrect and you need to take Biology 40S again. Were there not meat humans would be very different, but still here.

I am a vegetarian for 17 years done me no harm. Actually I'm fitter and stronger than I have ever been. In my martial arts classes there is another vegetarian and we own all the meat eaters.hehehehehehehehehe.
I really do not get the narrow mindedness of meat eaters who take the piss out of people who choose not to eat meat. Just look at the shit they are putting into meat nowadays, and with cloning now ever closer.
If anyone chooses to give up meat good on them, at least they have an open mind and willing to look at alternatives.

Two questions for meat eaters
1.Would you eat it if you had to kill it.
2.Would you eat dog, cat, cockroach, spiders as the only reason why we eat meat is for the taste.

Rant over.

That'd be where I draw the line. Proud to be human and omnivorous, here. And where the heck are animal rights in the wild, anyway?
