You know that movie that just came out not too long ago about flight 93? I couldn't even watch the commercials for that movie without choking.
911 didn't even happen to my country but i felt sickened at all the movies coming out about it.  Saving private ryan upset a lot of vets and that was released about 50 years or so later.  Making a film about the thing that may have killed your family a few years ago seems wrong.
i thought this too but the movie is very very well made its the story about two fire fighters trapped

That was so sad. Hearing the man say "We're young men, we're not ready to die!" and "I've got kids!" and then at the end "OH GOD!" and there was silence. I still can't believe something so horrible happened across the river from me.

There was a programme in England that showed the guy diving to his death,  can't remember its name or the guys name (God Bless) but it was the most tranquil picture I had ever seen, you know its coming so get on with it:(

I do agree about this but there is no need to bring it up time and time again. But its always the same thing. I don't see anyone posting stuff about the Oklahoma bombing or any other tragic event that happened.

I'm all for people remembering dramatic events during there lifetime or historical events, so don't get me wrong.
This hasn't been posted "time and time again"...

You truly are a chode to say something like that. How about a hijacker goes into one of your great malls and kills your mother for being in the wrong department store. how about that? Let's see you fucking forget about that you piece of shit.

You really need to rethink your outlook because its fucked.

also, go fuck yourself.

We're lucky to see some insight into this catostrophic event that changed the course of the future and how it affected everyday citizens. We get to see and hear( if this isn't faked) a true story of several of the victims and we shouldn't throw it away because its an event in the past. It was a confusing and hellish moment for a greater majority of US citizens and this insight into it is priceless.

I received a phone call like that. Uncle was a firefighter, they were on the 54th when Tower 2 collapsed. It was a radio transmission. It was really sad, he said "Somethings wrong. Theres dust coming down the stairwells"

5 seconds later, gone.

We aren't getting you wrong.  The reason we talk about it is because it was so much of a horrific thing.  Go to a WW2 veterans convention, walk up to a vet talking about watching his friends die in Normandy, and tell him to "move on, get over it" .  We have moved on. People who lost loved ones have moved on.  But, it doesn't mean it still hutrs.  I didn't lose anyone I knew on that day, and it still makes me damn near cry.  It was a horrific day we al lived through.  May god help the families and friends who lived through that day. Same goes for OKC, same goes for the civilians in Iraq who die from car bombs.  Same goes for all who suffer.

We live because we're alive.  everyone continues with life, because they are alive.  No one forgets the blood that is shed in the past at any event. No one with respect and intelligence.   Move on, maybe.  Get over it. never.  life Lossed is a terrible thing.

Because "history doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme". It's careless and stupid to ignore the past or future just because it's not now, now, now. Oh, and 6 years is nothing in terms of history.

Trooper you have right to say that and you are a total jackass, Lets see you try to go up to one of the children whos mother or father died in that and say, "It's been 6 years jezz, move on."

Think before you talk next time idiot.

Wow Trooper...indeed the Oklahoma City Bombing was a very tragic event, but so was 9/11 on a much bigger scale.  2800+ dead.  The repercussions of the terrorist attacks on September 11th were much worse.  Troops still in Afghanistan.  A war in Iraq, still ongoing, 3,000 servicemen and women dead.  What happened after the Oklahoma City bombings?  Jersey barriers around possible targets for terrorists to ward off potential truck bombs.  We still cry over WWII, and that was 62 years ago.  So no, don't say "get over it" or "move on".  It's hard on the families/friends of victims of tragic events in the past.  Say what you will, but know that a lot, if not almost everyone disagrees with you.

Yes TroOper you’ve pissed some people off.

You little bag of insensitive shit. You most likely have no idea what its like to loose a family member, friend or someone in your community because of someone else’s radical beliefs and acts. HELL NO we won’t get over it, not tomorrow, six years or 30 years. My generation and the next generation guarantee’s that.

What the hell is wrong with you? Did the parents put you on restriction this week? Your girlfriend of 6 months call it quits? Oh wait I get it! Your a tunnel visioned individual with no perspective on what happens outside of your little cocoon.

I have some advice. Sign up for military service for your country and at the very least get a desk job. Or go to the nearest body of water, find the shortest pier and take a long walk.

Yes that's bad. However, i've come to the point where i try not to think about it or just anything now. I mean, around 300K died in the boxing day tsunami in 2004. Nobody even gave a shit. 9/11 started the persecution of everything and anything muslim and/or "brown". All these things, i just try not to think about it anymore and just live my life. It's all just too fucked up now

My ICT teacher is very sensitive to this subject as his wife worked high in the second tower, she was never late except one day, where she has an argument with her husband, she arrived late, and her life was saved, my teacher however did not know this, and he spent the rest of the day in agony until she arrived home.

I know from him it is a very touchy subject, and my heart goes to all that weren't so lucky that day. I live in England and I know someone who was involved, some of you who live alot nearer probabaly have a much less fortunate story to tell.

I agree with Tro0per in that we as a country needs to stop using 9/11 as an excuse for things...
however, it was the largest attack on our country... ever... so no, i don't think we should just forget about it. It was pretty awful.
