Remember, whenever you post about Bush-bashing, prepare to answer the inevitable demands of "WHEN?!"stryyker wrote:
Running the World's most powerful nation is a very hard job, no? I see alot of shit in this section bashing him about his every move (a reason I refrain from posting here). But for all intensive purposes people, The President of the United States, is the most powerful man in the World. If you think you could run the nation better, please tell me all about it, ya?
edit: Personally, I hate Bush, but I have respect for him, for just being the President in general.
When did anyone say when to Bush Bashing? It happens all the time...unnamednewbie13 wrote:

No denial here. The guy is a cretin and deserves every bit of 'constructive criticism' he gets.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Regardless, the majority of Americans voted him in to that position twice on the trought.SysTray wrote:

I bash other people because he's the president, they voted for him.
OK I'm sorry to do this normally I don't correct spelling but this is way out of control.stryyker wrote:

Yes and WWII was the largest conflict EVER. The war in Iraq only compares to wars that Alexander the great was in. If not even smaller.ATG wrote:

1 second so because a small group not a country attacked you, You will go to a country kill 600 000 innocent people and lose more troops in the process then the amount you lost in the actual attack? You killed more of their innocents then the terrorists killed yours? Who is the terrorist again?Parker wrote:

hhhhhmmmmmmm, let see. justification of the iraq conflict.
ok since thats what people seem to be really hung up on, let me see if i can explain it to you.
first, we were attacked on 9-11 by terrorists.
second, these terrorists come from, mainly the middle east.
third, if we do not make ourselves available to attack in theyre backyard, they WILL attack us here. dont believe me? look at israel.
thats it plain and simple. it comes down to national security.
flame me, i laugh at you.
600000 is a bogus number and your not being intellectually honest. We lost more troops in a month in WW2 than in we have in more than four years of combat in the middle east.
Go put your head back in the sand, I'll wake you up when the Marines are finished doing their job.
We have what is called a system of checks and balances. This means that no one branch of the government is allowed total control over the decision making process. For the last few years both congress and the presidency has been held by on political parties. This has now balanced out.crimson_grunt wrote:
I've a serious question for the Americans, not intended as an insult to bush. I'm merely trying to clarify something.
Books I've read in the past (mainly war fiction) usually depict the president as having an important say in the decision making process but usually a decision is made by congress, joint chiefs and whatever other levels of government there is etc and they present this to the president for his feedback but the final decisions isn't solely his, all or some parties have to agree.
Is this how it operates? Or do you feel that it's him deciding everything based on his feelings and demanding that the rest of the government should come around to his way of thinking? Thats how it looks to me as an outsider and it's something i totally despise about Tony Bleaugh's method of governing the UK.

His logic, however, was:Oh and Spark, No, Iraq isn't the whole middle east. But it was a HUGE source of the funding for the terrorist. Got to start somewhere.
Bush, the most powerful man in the World? Is that the title the American press give him? Don'y make me laugh, he can't even pass a law without the opposition having to agree too. How can he be the most powerful man in the World when his party aren't even in power? I would say (and this type of thing is always philisophical) that whoever is in charge of China is the most powerful person in the World as they rule over 1 billion people.stryyker wrote:

Sorry stryyker but its an important job and you have to hold him responsible for how he does it, not just that he has the title.stryyker wrote:

We got attacked in 9/11. 9/11 was carried out by Middle Easterners. If we don't we'll get attacked more (?!). Therefore, we should invade Iraq. (WTF?!)
Sorry, but the links just don't join.
Well you are right they are fucking imba.Macca wrote:
