lazers, common there has to be lazers in the future

I want to see a two seater recon car that has no weapons...



Except that it has a driver controlled Active Camo that stealths the whole vehicle and their passengers.



Needs distinct engine sound, reduced top speed on stealth mode and perhaps occasional flickering. Otherwise getting runned over by an invisble car would be greatly vexing. Give it reduced armour perhaps and take damage from small arms.

1: Stop being an arrogant fucktard.

2: If 99% of the BF2142 community has no issue loading this map, do you really think that it's not the fault of your computer?  Seems pretty obvious that your game file is corrupted.  Re-install should fix it.  If not, its a hardware issue.

3: If you're looking for help in the future, don't try to make others look inferior because you won't accept their suggestions.

This is a known issue, even if only 1% of the community has this problem, does this make it a non-issue ? Hmm?

Look guys, I really hate to be a dick about this, but for anyone who may read this and wish to input
some sort of resolution. let me give you guys the background on this.

I originally purchased 2142 via EA downloader  $49.99

Played fine for about a month, never tried the Cebere Landing map much, but when I did I
kept encountering an error, halfway thru loading the map.   error= ERROR Memory.dll memory sanity check blah de blah de blah.

so,

I'll try a fresh install.

Un-Installed and reinstalled via EA Downloader / EA Link
Result = "Your game has been removed or moved, please re-download"

After 4 hours of re-downloading and attempting to fix, I uninstalled EA/Link and BF2142, went to the
store and bought the DVD version for another $49.99 plus tax.

Installed product, result = would not run.

Fine

After manually editing the registry (No thanks to EA Customer Support) got it to run.

Ceberere landing = same problem

Reinstalled again

Ceberere landing = same problem.

I have reported the error along with my DXDIAG info to EA with no response, helpful hints, etc.  NADA

Now, the obvious solution to my particular problem is not to play cebere landing 24/7 servers, since my problem ONLY occurs when it is the current map in the rotation, If I join a server that isn't currently on Cebere Landing and it switches to that map, guess what?

The map loads normally.

So there, all the re-installing in the world will not fix it as it is OBVIOUSLY something in the software itself.

Please forgive my rant, but after paying $100.00 plus for a $50 game, I feel I have the right to bitch.

Well I just want free add ons. Which should include new vehicles(No planes or that shit) even if it's just one that you can drive really really fast.

New weapons. :3 Everyone love new weapons. :3 More weapons = More fun.

A new Team, Swedish Army XD (Actually I'm serious, the Swedish parachute troops have a pretty rough training. Harder than Navy Seal what I have heard.)

Also More ranks for the weapons.

Maybe you should. I expect you're overclocking all sorts of things, and this is the result of trying to get more than what you payed for. I have a Dell, and it works very well with 2142.

Also, for someone who seems to have a custom built PC, you seem to be a bit ignorant. Never download games - if theres something wrong you can't send it back to the shop or company. And then you bought another copy for $50, all for one map? You obviously have more money than sense, so buy a Dell.

Sure, I overclock, and my rig is prime 95 and OCCT stable. Runs everything else out there no problem.
Runs HL2 HDR no problems
Runs BF2 no problems
Runs MOH no problems
Runs COD2 no problems
Runs MS Flight Simulator X no problems
Runs X3: Reunion no problems (now that's saying a lot)
Runs 2142 all graphics options on high, all audio options on highest, no problems. (except the defective map)

If you had read what I wrote, you would understand that I had to buy a new copy of the game to get it to run, period, not just the defective map. (which is still defective BTW)

Don't DL games?   what world do YOU live in ?  EA offered this title 24 hrs before release for pre-orders.
My local outlets didn't even have it available until a week after release!
However they were too cheap to also send a hard copy with the order, or even offer it.

All game companies are pushing the DL'ed content to ease their distribution costs, It's the wave of the future.

to be honest, i thing a mnor re-desing of the titan would be good. as in, if you brrach the reactor core room, it should blow the top of the ttian off above the core room, so you can ain access to the core directly from a pod. alos, maie it so tat whne the core room isbreached, ALL shuields remaining up go down, as well as the force fields. there have been so many times I ahve landed on the hangar ay shield it's not funny. in fact, once you have dropped the shields, IMO, they should have the forcefields separating the lower two consoles drop completely, so you can slip around the back to the 2nd console. plus, when you blow the first console, remove all force-fields to the third console, same for the 2nd one and 4th console then, whne ALL consoles are down, allow access to not nly the core room, but drop the forcefields to the hanagr bay, as well as the remaining shield. so thta you have another route to the core that skips out the cargo bay. it would ake it a bit easier for the attackers, yes, abut rememebr where the defendes spawn. it would at least mean you have to defend both sides of the titan once the consoles are blown, not just the cargo bay and wipe out those in the core room.

plus, as for ground vehicles- an ATV for the EU, and a hover ATV for the PAX. basically the same as the SF ones. plus, forklift. add it,and make the forks actually able to be lifted. if you do lift the forks, it lifts up ANTHING that is on the forks, so if you have an enemiey's gun restimg on the fork, it shoves the thing up. and if an enemy is sitting on te forks, raise HIM. and if an eemy is beneath the foks when they lower, ahve him kills. not critically wonded,killed.

Bayonets or some other close combat weapon than the knife even though knife is brilliant. Maybe some form of martial arts.

it would also be fun to have a squad leader medic droid who would float around healing you squad, and a repair droid that could heal you teams vehicles... cool eh?

maybe make a small jetpack for recon? it would give a small boost like the pod on a ACP??? it would be handy for snipers...

that sounds pretty good not the droids but the game mode sounds fun.
