Well I can say I've never been inside a church before, that's how religious my family is. But for technicality, my dad is Lutheran (whatever that is), and my mum, hailing from London, is of course Church Of England (which I think is Anglican?). And traditionally you take after your mother so I myself am that Church Of England one. Yep, religion is that important in my family I don't even know/understand what ones my parents are... Go Australia!
My state was founded by Batman. Your opinion is invalid.

My great-grandfather was an Anglican priest, but my grandparents and parents have all been atheist or agnostic. Truth be told, I have rarely had a discussion with any of them about religion. Despite their leanings, I was never pressured to believe anything. I simply was raised without the topic, and I took my choice of atheism upon my own personal choice, without an indoctrination at a young age, and with a educated mind.

Additionally, if one wishes to criticize religion, he should be free to do so, especially when he harbours no ill will towards its adherents.

I just think it's odd how eveyone on here that cares enough to delve deeply into why they're an atheist says that they just "realized the facts" or "opened their eyes" or are somehow more "educated" than anyone else that may believe in religion.

To me religion is worthless. You die when you die, no other influences needed. Fate? Well who can say but I certainly dont beleive when I'm destined to die!

Again, you're reading things into what is being said that aren't being said (not by me at least). It is my opinion that religion is a crock of shit. That does not mean I think I'm any better or more educated than someone that believes in any given religion.

My parents are both 'Christians' but not really.  We all believe in a higher being, well, idk we're all spiritual in a sense... personally, I believe in intelligent design to some extent.  It's all so terribly confusing though.
