For me, the execution of Saddam Hussein is the pinnacle of the failure that is the "war" in Iraq. Day after day soldiers serving from both the US and Uk are killed or wounded fighting for cause Ive yet to understand. We invaded Iraq against the Wishes of the United Nations on the premise of Weapons of mass destruction. Today there is NO evidence that any of these weapons have existed.
Iraq was also targeted under accusations from the Bush Administration that it aided international terrorism, a claim which there is NO evidence to support.
Why did we invade Iraq? simple, OIL. For the Bush administration occupying Iraq presented the perfect Foothold in the middle east from which to launch "the war on terror". If you have doubts about this please refer to the following link on Wiki.

It doesn't take a scientist to work out that George bush does not have plans to "bring the troops home". His ability to scare the Western world in the aftermath of 9.11 has guaranteed public support for the mean time for the occupation of Iraq.
Enter the 4th Branch of the Government, AKA the Media. The daily reports of of Media attention focused on Iraq are to let people know that the threat of terrorism is still very real, or so you would think. What the media don't tell you is how America/Uk/Russia/France supplied various Chemical weapons etc to Iraq during its war with Iran. Weapons which the media claimed were within 11Min's reach of the UK.

My view and message is simply, don't believe everything you see and hear on the media. I hope that people in the UK and USA will recognize the insanity of what Bush and Blair are doing and that our brave troops are dying for a less than noble cause.
