I played warlord each of the last 2 days as commander. One map I tanked around because there was only a few players in the server, the other I just sat and commanded. Each time I would kill people or repair my equipment and get no points for it. When I was tanking around I had 16 kills and 7 points before I decided to quite commanding. Also capping a flag would yeild no points. The other round I repaired my shit like 8 times and still had a big fat 0 under my team score. This doesnt really seem to make sense to me because when I tanked around karkand while commanding I would get kills + team score + commanded score. Is it a special forces thing or am I the only one this is happening to? It's quite frustrating to have more flag caps then you do total points.

P.S.
I'm not one who takes command just to get my 2x. I actually command when I'm commander.

Well, the answer is simple...  You don't get kill points, repair points, heal or revive points, or any kind of flag points as commander.  Your commander points are an average of your whole teams score.  There are plenty of other posts and topics on this scenario...do a search and you'll have a better explaination.

That was my point though, when playing BF2 I get kill points, heal points, whatever. I was asking if this is a Special Forces thing. Notice: "Is this a special forces thing or...?". I know reading is hard but try your best. It's a simple question, IS THIS A SF THING? I already know it doesn't happen in BF2. And I also know how the score is calculated. As far as I know I'm part of my team so why can't I contribute?

you dont get team/combat points when being a commander.

But you do get credit in your BFHQ stats for kills,flag caps,tks,repairs,resupplies and medicing. Also  as commander all your kills (even artillery) count toward getting medals,ribbons and badges. Artillery kills don't count as kills or points in game, but do add to you BFHQ Kill stats.

I played karkand last night and got point credit for every kill I got and not once was my commander score less than my amount of kills. This is what didnt make sense to me. And when i capped a flag or repaired the points would show up in the team score column.

Check again commander does not get teampoints. You get no points for artillery kills since EA/Dice made it so artillery doesn't give you tk's. Commander only gets 1 point for even non artillery kill. Only way to have teampoints as commander is if you where not playing as commander for part of the map. Then half way thru map you took commander. From then on you get no more teampoints.
