Why not? Christ is the last thing recognized when celebrating Christmas, anyway.
Exactly. I'm an atheist and I still celebrate Christmas. It's more cultural (or commercial, depending on your level of cynicism) than religious.
It's ironic because without the birth of Christ there would be no Christmas. You can dress it up anyway you want but the celebration of Christmas in any manner originates from the Religion of Christianity.
Does not.

Only the name does.

Christmas was a pagan holiday co-opted into Christianity.  Also, most historians agree that Christ was born in late spring/early summer.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

I was going to go around wishing everyone Merry Christmas via giving Karma, but sign the Karma with one of the names of our self proclaimed atheist in these forums...lol
I was giving out Christmas Karma, but I ran out.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
Even so Saturnalia is religious in nature. Doesn't fit in with Atheism.
Merry Saturnalia!

Saturnalia is the feast at which the Romans commemorated the dedication of the temple of the god Saturn, which took place on 17 December. Over the years, it expanded to a whole week, up to 23 December.

Here in the north Christmas was originally a pagan celebration aswell. But the reason for the party was a natural event! IMO Winter Solstice fits right in with Atheism

Our Joulu (=Christmas) was originally a celebration of the Winter Solstice.
