So I'm going to The Gun Store in a couple of days.  I'm going to rent one of the "machine guns" listed here.  I've excluded the ones from the list I've already fired and have easy access to, but I still need some help deciding which one I want to rent.  I'm leaning towards the tommy gun or the MP5.  I'm not really interested in firing any of the pistols or single fire rifles, because I can do that at home.

Well I got an airsoft MP5 A4/A5 today and I love it so I say go with that one and pretend to be anti-tank all day!

Rent an SRAW too!

Go for the Thompson, so much power, and so awsomely old school, but only get it if it's the WW2 style with straight clips and the wood grip, if not got for the MP5.

Go for a 9 mm. I've shot a 'Suomi' MP and that was loads of fun.

You won't appreciate MP5/7 in BF2 until you've tried the real thing (which recoils the aim upwards like a mother)

The poll shows good taste.......go with either the MP5 or the Thompson. Both of those are awesome to shoot. Specially' the Tommy gun. You can't go wrong with 30 .45 rounds tearing the ass out of your target.

I mean come on - both are CLASSIC pop-culture. Itd be a hell of a ride. Not only are you firing an awesome gun, but you a firing one that is rampant throughout history and pop culture.

MP5 is arguably the most accurate, but is a somewhat wussy 9mm. Good for pretending you're an anti-tank soldier or part of a SWAT team.
The Sten gun is good for WW2 daydreaming, but I'd say the tommygun has to be the best for that kind of thing, as you can talk like a 30s gangster all day.

However, I'm not in a position to make a decision on it, never having fired anything beyond an air rifle or paintball gun.

Well, in march I'm takin a trip to the states, droppin in in LA and Vegas...  also planning on visiting the gun store...  But I already made my choice..... AK-47   since assault rifles are illegal here..... boohoo wussie government....  I am not even allowed to "rapid-fire" my 9mm at the shooting range here, or any gun of a caliber above .45   Sucks right?  I need to go all across the country to get to a range that allows my 30-30 winchester94
