ok, so i went down to my shooting range where i sell my knives at here in st louis. all the guys that work down there are pretty good friends of mine, and every once in awhile iget to shoot some pretty bad ass firearms.
so i went to sell the knives on friday and looked on the shelf and there sat a H&K G3. so i inquire about whos gun it is, and how it got there and how/when/if i could shoot it. it turns out that a customer of mine had dropped it off earlier that day so that the workers down there could sight it in.

that equals out to my lucky day. whats even better is that my beautiful, photographer of a wife was there and had her camera in her purse.......so heres some pics and video of me at the range shooting a G3. hope you guys enjoy.

ya, im a pretty small guy @ 5'7 135. so that .308 (7.62mm) really kicked my ass. you can see in the video that a couple shots really rocked me. the rifle itself is REALLY heavy, it kinda felt like holding an old BAR. i could only benchrest it and i have no idea what the hell it would have done to me if i had shot it standing up. the scope was of german design so the picture was similar to looking through the dragunov in bf2.
all in all it would defnitly be wwwaaayyyyy to heavy to hump, but a pretty darn good weapon. the dots on the target were about the size of a human eye @ 30 yards. needless to say, anyone with moderate experience with a rifle could consistently make rapid kill shots at pretty decent ranges (with the scope).

pure luck man.....and selling knives to the right people. i ask them to teach me everything, so i wind up having ex special forces teaching me to shoot and everything else.....you can hear one of em in the video asking if im hitting it.

i tryed it to in november. i was in the army for a week to see if i liked it and i they let me shoot with the G3 which is my country's military weapon, and damn that was some kind of a day. firstly we found out that the G3 rifle has been so mass produced so that when Denmark bought it's last load of used G3's it cost them 1/10 of a British pound. and by the way i didn't think that the rifle is that heavy compared to others i tried, but hey it just might be myself that's the problem.

ya if i had the bipod all the time i could manage it, but if i had to stand up and shoot it i would definitly get my ass kicked.

The G3 is very nice rifle. I've shot a few thousend shots myself with it. It only kicks a little if it's lacking oil.

That is a excellent rifle I was shooting one 2 months ago and with iron sights in a standing position i hit 9/10 shots at a 200 yard target on single shot.

You definately notice when you are shooting a 7.62 compaired to a 5.56 it (talks) to your shoulder more.

The G3 is my favourite rifle in BF2, mainly because it sounds cool. I wish I had my old headset instead of this crap one when I watched the vid. But I guess it wouldn't sould as nice when it's inside anyway.

the sound that thing produces is vicous.
lol the first shot my wife looked at me like i insulted her, so we had to stop and i had to make sure she was ok being by it when it fired.
