Wtf as i was flying today, an AA locked onto me, i did my usual stunts and i got hit instead. Like wtf? Before, i dodged the missiles very easily.

- I think EA has done something to the jets and made AA overpowered.
I must be blind then, because it still takes me the same assload of shots to kill aircraft or helos.

I bet they sneaked here to singapore in the middle of the night and messed with our comps. COME ONE its a freak incident I bet the guy firing the AA was like WTF i just fired at the helicopter 3000000 metres away from you!
the best way to kill a jet whore is to fire all the missiles u got
seeing as how there wasnt a patch released today, theres no difference.

to evade a missle and stay in the area, just circle the area, i either do that or just fly vert down then pull up and spin in lots of random directions, and if you do that you'll never need to use flares

about time! AA is too slow to take out jets..how many times has a person locked onto a jet, fired and nothing happens, and how many times has the AA gunner been bombed or shot by the jet.....i think a nice addition to ground defence should be the good old flak cannon!!! lots of shrapnel and smoke that'll confuse the buggers lol

well....i HOPE that Stingers get better..like an 60 % chance to hit the plane... and on the US ESSEX 80 % chance....so Carrier Bombers are history...fuck'em coz still today the day Jets are to much of an king in the air...and i think ground defences must have a fair chance to blow them outta the sky...in real world an heat seeking rocket doesnt loses its target untill he created another heat source (flares) , ran outta fuel or something or did a really neat turn so the rocket cant follow him...now its that the rocket loses its target even if a noob flies and makes a shitty turn...and the Essex must be more powerfull coz i think if u look at the costs a shitty stinger is nothing compared Versus the Essex...and the only thing NOW that can blow an Jet outta the air if we talk about the essex is the main gun...but that thing gets to fast overheated that he isnt worth shit..at least make it 2x longer to overheat then it is now
Are you kidding. The essex guns will RIP apart any plane that's stupid enough to come in range. As long as the gunner inside has a MINIMAL of skill, it can bring any but the best pilots down to red health EASILY. The only true way to hit the essex without fear of losing more than 60% life is a COMPLETE 90 degrees downwards attack.

Oooh! Oooh! I fired a missile at a J-10 today. It used it's flares and went into evasive manuvers, but my missile followed it all the way, ignoring the flares and blowing the bastard apart.

Anyone else thinking that shoulder fired AA missiles would be good idea to BF2? Maybe a new AA class, or giving them to AT-soldier as an alternative weapon for AT-rocket?
That cuz now pilots can see that nice green box around AA site if its occupied, and come in guns blazin bombing poor AA soldier to stone-age.
And it would be nice to be able to drop choppers in Sharqi even when all your bases with AA had been captured (AT missiles usually not working against good pilots who move a lot).
Or maybe easier solution is more ppl actually using existing AA-sites, bomb away 1 and there is 3 more shooting at you.

maps have enough AA sites its just people dont want to use them..
if u hate aircrafts so much u need to camp out at an AA spot and try and take him down

it was me who took him down with a stinger. Took down about 15 jets in the round, and it took 4 shots each.

here here a balance of power is required...the right honourable gentleman has hit the spot..rem DCX? anti tank guy had both tank and aa rocket launcher...
