We shouldnt be paranoid whether or not were "contributing", its just about having fun. Why does everything have to be 100% serious?Im not blaming you directly, i just likes my pics!PspRpg-7 wrote:

not really.Bernadictus wrote:

but the day where Kids gets banned cause showing the forums how negative their minds are has arrived. yay
I see a lot of hard work, eh, wait, actually not, coming the way.
No it doesn't have to always be serious, but things can go out of control and overboard. I don't think anyone minded a few here or there, but I can promise you excessive spam would cause a community to nose dive rapidly. It's a classic case of give people an inch and they take it a mile. Like I said before, not only did it muck up the forums but it has been so overdone that there was little effect. (For me at least). I was surprised to find threads without that sort of content.=Karma-Kills= wrote:

Hmm,
1) I apologise for most (not quite all) of the derailment/lolcats I have caused/posted
2) /agree
3) It will be interesting to see how many people don't read this and find themselves on a little holiday soon
4) It will be interesting to see how many people read this and still can't suppress random spam urges and find themselves on holiday
5) I wonder how long I'll last?

problem is the ratio of funny:not funny is somewhere around preposterous...so its a smart move.xBlackPantherx wrote:

Heh, where's Fenris and his fishystick and co.?
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
I'm right here. But I'm not posting the Fishystick in this thread. I don't have a banwish.haffeysucks wrote:

freakin'
tempted
But in all seriousness while I fully support this move on Jeffs' part it'll take a few bans (as he said) to reinforce it enough to get the point across.
Tough Love I guess.

I'll miss the silly pictures
Actually what if you post the daft images then actually go on to make a proper post?

I'm here too, and I tell ya, Its so hard not to post an image in this thread. It would've been priceless, along with the ban that would've followed suit.Fenris_GreyClaw wrote:

Basically, I think what the point is, is that you use your head when posting, no jumping into threads and throwing down an image.
Oh, for those that wanted to know what the image was, I'm twiching in restraint not to post this, but it was the serious cat/thread picture. Hee.
Time to attack the reply by image thread. Thats always relevant.
Psp, My lolcats sigs will never ever die. You hear me? Not while theres a hundred fools on here with girl sigs like anyone really wants to look at teases on the internet.

In all honesty, it's a step in the right direction.
The forums here used to be awesome. They were a lot of fun, but also a place where you could have a serious discussion. The biggest problem now is multiple threads about the same topic and the derailment of threads. Now, I know, sometimes that's just how threads flow, and that's totally cool and understandable, but when they're intentionally derailed, although sometimes funny, in the long run it's more of an annoyance. I hate searching for "processor help" and finding five pages of "HAY GUYS IM GETING A NEW COMP AND WAN 2 NO IF THIS IS GOOD PROCESSOR??!?" followed by three pages of lolcats.
So, yes, lolcats had their time. It was fun while it lasted. But let's leave them be.
...and also, maybe for future considerations for mods...can we be a bit more harsh about the search feature? If you're new here and you don't do it...then I can understand...but people who have been around for a while should know better. Just a suggestion.

awwwww the pictures are the reason I come to bf2s o well.
Yes well you know what they say, a thread full of borderline softporn on a site full of underage kids is much better than a thread full of wierd pics.Sarrk wrote:

Yes I know that is not the point of this warning and I do agree with the point of this warning however I still personally see it like Political Corectness...where will it end?
Well if you ask me (i know you didnt of course), there`s nothing wrong with making a new thread. Absolutely every issue about bf2 has been cowered several times before, if that was completely wrong you could not make any new ones ever. Many good stickies you can read, it`s seriously failing if you ask a Q thats in a sticky, but sometimes it can be hard to find the right thread because of all the spam. And when you do find the right thread, you have to look through twenty pages of cat pictures that you have seen fifty times before only to read two or three posts that are actually helpful ^^Jenspm wrote:

finally...
Thank the fucking lord. If I had admin here there would be so many banned users right now... god DAMN I hate those felines from hell.
Next step, as someone else said: Users, please, if you're not a moderator don't act like you are. I'm talking about kids who see a topic and do stupid crap like "Please do not bump threads {quote}" or "Search! {quote}.. it's almost as bad as LOLCats & Company.

I really want to post the serious lolcat in this thread... It's quite tempting. One of the few lolcats I find amusing.
