Going to start cleaning up computers, What tools do I need

So anyway, I'm going to throw a bunch of stuff on my USB and whenever I go to a mates place and they've fucked up (Which is often) Ill be able to fix, or atleast help their computer.

So which programs do you guys recommend?

Ive gotten

Procexp
Portable Firefox
AVG Antivirus
AVG Antispyware
Spybot S&D
Adaware

Any suggestions? Modifications?

To clean:
TweakNow RegCleaner (cleans registry)
Avast (antivirus)
CS Fire Monitor (cleans RAM)
together with the programs You've listed

To keep it clean:
CloneSpy (search for multiple identical files)
Spy Protector (protects registry (not free program))
EZbackitup (easy backup program)

ccleaner is indeed great, I'm quite good at keeping my PC tidy but it still freed up over 550MB.

I would say though, AVG is pretty fucking atrocious, especially the free one, I'd use avast instead.

i prefer avast free over AVG free.

i tested the two scanners out recently, im much more impressed by Avast then AVG, since my AVG periodically freezes the scan for about 15-20 minutes on one file, and no clue what has happened.. and the interface is much better then AVG, i like the layouts and the colors .

tried it with Avast, it detected several infected files that AVG appeared to not pick up..

avast > AVG

You do NOT need a Registry Cleaner. Its all just a fucking placebo, a waste of money, and a stupid risk. Its like a Disk Cleanup, but for 10MB.

You're not going to clean up this shit when its running in the background and can put itself back, no matter how good your software is.
