Been playing sniper exclusively since I got BF2...and have a decent feel for the kit...I do have a question about sniping though that I wanted to see what others thought.
I had read about bullet drop and saw reports that it did and didn't exist. I found this video on the forums that seems to show it is true

Anyways...my question deals with a enemy who is running or walking across your face...it always seems that when I take a shot at them I am always having to lead them by what seems like a quarter of an inch with the cross hairs....
I haven't found a good way as of yet to hit targets who are moving laterally or better yet a exact amount to lead these targets
Does it matter how far away they are respectively ? 100 meters vs 150 or 200 meters ( lead them more or less ?)
it always seems to be hit or miss...and hardly anyone sits still in the game for more than a second which makes it even harder for a head shot.
I would hate to think that this is latency/lag...when I am messing around I will take a pot shot at a chopper just to see and it is pretty apparent there is noticable latency of when I shoot at a gunner flying across my face and the bullet hitting way after the door...
I have my fair share of kills so I am not a noob by any means...just wondering if anyone else has an opinion...please share.

has any sniper ever come across a player you seemingly can't kill or takes like 6 rounds to kill ? I am not sure again if this is bullet drop or what...
Example...get a player who would be at the most 100 meters away...in a turret or on the ground. Pull up the scope and boom..headshot...but they don't die...
repeat above 4 more times and then all of the sudden they die...I have run into that from time to time and I always wonder that even if they are in a gun turret of a hummve and can see there head...that there isn't some coding glitch that has some sort of invisible shield of armour around the certain spot your shooting at (like the turret hatch behind the gunner) you know what I am talking about...when your looking at the back of the car..you can't see the enemy's head because of it.
Any thoughts ?

So I state this...I am on cable...and have pings generally in the mid 40's to 60's...I have most of the settings at medium and everything appears to run smooth on my system...no hang ups or choppiness
Any comments would be appreciated...
