I dont believe the Empire its self is a thing to be ashamed of, some of their actions maybe but the Empire is what made the world what it was for the last 200-300 years. Along with the Empires of most other Europian countries.

Although too be honest I haven't heard that term used for a long time. I really doubt it has been infused in to my brain. Although it is something I notice quite often.

Seems that our atom bomb stopped global pandemonium when it was first used - boom, end of WW2.  Has anyone actually used a nuke in combat since then?  Not that I'm aware of.

You do know the scientists that made the nuke were German prisoners. At the end of WW2 and close to the end Germany was rapidly advancing in technology they were in construction of a flying wing aircraft similar to the current B-2 Spirit and had come out with the XXI class sub which is similar to the current Russian alpha class sub as well as torpedoes which could track targets through sound in water as well as torps that would correct themselves and go in a search pattern that sweeped the area. I fear if that war had gone on a little longer say one or two years and the situation was like 1943 in 1947 we'd all be speaking german and be under the lead of a fuhrer. Or most of us would because Hitler planned to divide up the world with his bum buddies.

Wow man, nice rant.  A pointless one, but nice nonetheless.  Maybe you should look at WHY other countries need aid from the USA.  So many third-world countries owe debt to America, its ridiculous, and you're complaining because theyre asking for your help?  Maybe the US government could help by writing off that unnecessary debt.  They are the richest country in the world, after all.

Maybe if the US didnt waste so much money on wars over oil, they'd have enough money to worry about their problems at home.

N.B: this is not in any way meant to criticise the American people, but the American Government for thinking they rule the world.  Get off from your high horse and come live in the real world, George.
