Perhaps it's just unreasonable to expect men to go without sex and military planners should make this a logistics issue. ( I'm serious ). If it works in the Military, we can try it alsewhere ( cough ) Catholics! (Cough )
and see if it works.

I don't know what to say about this. Its disturbing. But on a side note, if you ever watch those stings for molesters here in the US where they setup molesters in teen chat rooms, You'll see(and not being racist or whatever but stating facts from the stings) Most of the offenders are Not white and not always US citizens.

I think that most of this has to do with the way a culture perceives women. Sorry to say, but in most foreign lands(non westernized) Women are property, and said property can be killed for just embarrassing  the husband. Whats it called? Honor Killing? Yeah thats it, Sick twisted shit there.

you got to be kidding me right ?? ---> MOST fereign lands....

Anyway there were plenty of cases of UN soldier commiting every type of crime there is in Bosnia. Not just rape. But domestic courts were never allowed to prosecute them, and often the civilian courts, in the countries the soldiers come from, also cant or wont prosecute them. It is mostly left to military to decide what to do. Or there is a option for the citizen aflicted by the crime to state its case to the courts in that particular foreign country, from which the soldier comes from. But this rarely happened because, for one MONEY. Poor people cant travell the world and sue people. And another reason is they get denied the entrance to a foreign country.

He's suggesting realistic solutions to a problem. In the military, men cannot have sex, nor can priests.  If the military could change logistics to allow men to have sex, it could reduce things like what happened in the above article.  Same with priests in Catholicism, if they were allowed to have sex, it would likely reduce the abuse of altar boys.  Certainly those things would still happen, but reducing it would be good. Simple logic applied to a problem, not a condemnation of the military or Catholics.

Thats sick.  There should be some sort of REAL punishment dished out by the UN.

I've wondered if "military hookers" would be viable, and a good thing...what do some of the servicepeople here think?

Guess you missed the () marks? Most ALL modern countries are basically westernized in atleast there treatmant of women, But theres a hell of alot out there that have troops in the UN forces that have a totally different idea of what a woman is put on this earth for.

So nit pick something else, My point still stands.

Sorry mate but its still to much to say that in most non westernised countries woman can be killed that easily.
You are making it sound like westernization is saving females all over the world.
"...Most all modern countries are basicly westernized in atleast their treatment of woman" - that sounds like your implying that with westernization comes good treatment of woman. And that woman werent treated good before it. I dont agree with that, and im "picking" because I come from recently "westernized" country where westernization has severely degraded womans status.

And yes there are many countries where woman are not treated equaly but they are not killed on a whim.

sex abuse happens everywhere.  you only hear about it where people want you to develop hatred for a certain group.

Yeah but this is not just about commiting crime, its about the lack of accauntability. We are all kept in check by laws. Hell I woulnd commit a violent crime but I would gladly steal a PS3 if I knew nothing will happen. But the longer you are "above the law" the more your moral foundation are shaken
