Is buying an alienware computer worth or just to much money for what it is worth?

That depends on how much you value having an alien head logo on your PC

Agreed, a 10% mark up atleast goes on the name alone, plus that case is worth a fair bit on it's self, unless you are toally loaded, meaning you have atleast £3000 (or $5000+) burning a hole in your pocket, look else where.  You can get an equiv system for as much as 30% less else where, but you cant get away from the fact alienware are high end machines with the feel and ofcourse the price tag to go with it.

I bought one in spring 2005. It shipped with defective ram, both the cathode lights in the case burnt out in 2 weeks, and the heat inside the case was so dangerously hot my video cards were IDLE at 76 celsius. IT was very fast, but for the complete lack of testing and quality I would seriously go get ur own, or a falcon NW>

i think if you have the cash and can afford lots of toys and computer stuff go for it

they build a nice machine for a premium though

if i was gonna go the custom built fully built route i would go with liek an ibuypower or something, a bit cheaper
