I do use my knife more, but right now I am trying to get the required 300 pistol kills. They aren't as powerful as the BF2 ones are, but since the new patches came along, I can actually see what I am shooting at with the Pereira. I don't need a damn tinted glass reticule for a revolver! Iron sights FTW!

I do this as well and type in the global chat, "fail." or "phail." The guy then tries again and again getting more incensed and determined to knife me. It was pretty funny because the last two knife attempts I knifed him back. And he was swore so much in one sentence that he got temporarily banned from the server!

My best one is 6 kills in a round 2 times. (and I don't just run the whole round with knife, I use it in CQC when I think it's better than other weapons.)

Nope. I use the weapon that fits the situation. If I'm sneaking up behind a single person and they are unlikely to respond, I will use the knife but it's all situation-driven.

Actually, in practice I tend not to use grenades when the situation calls for it, but that's the only difference.

i knifed more because you actually get points for the badges... but i dont knife much anymore now that i have the Gold knife... only when i see an easy kill, like a sniper or a support that is oblivious to the world behind him.. lol

lol. 700h+ in bf2 and 252 knife kills, in the first 2½ weeks of 2142 I have breaken 400 kills...

Knifing in 2142 is easier IMO. BTW the knife acts like a gun with a 0.5 meter range and a very slow mussel velocity.

I don't care for knifing much anymore after I got my gold badge. I knife people who are oblivous or want a knife fight. Don't much mind getting knife, unless its a bs knife, oh you're 10 meters from me let me blow you away... okay you didn't move and I'm dead. Huh, just going to have to hunt you down now :p

And yes pistols need to be a lot better in the game.
