everyone Is saying to me to play on strike at karkan and put c4's right where the fence is over that hill, and hide behind the barrels and just wait for a bad guy to run through and blow the hole F**ng place up. I end up getting to many tk's and getting kicked. i need Help.

i got 'mines' off of kubra dam, while engineer, as MEC spawn at the base south of the bridge and mine there,(on the actual bridge) next try and mie the road going the other way west, then you should get some pts or kills frm that... espically if the guys r flag hoppers! i took out six guys with 2 mines all at the same time!

People are failing to realise that you don't HAVE to use just C4. You can mix stuff up. Play engineer for a bit, and when you see a tank, run at it and throw a mine on the top. Then be sniper and get people to chase you and throw a claymore down when you run around a corner. Then try a bit of C4ing.
Seriously, its easiest with c4. Just start dashing, jump, throw the c4, press S so you dont go too much forward, press the right mouse button after about 0.4s after you throwed the c4, it will switch to detonator after a set amount of time and then just kaboom! Takes totally ~2 seconds.
Using this tactic i got my expert explosives on moders karkand on second attempt even though i first thought it was impossible.

Keep an eye on the UAV when trying for this badge.
When you are facing the direction the enemy is likely coming from just wait until you see no blue dots in front of you. You can bet the next guy that comes through the fence will be an enemy. Try find a position where its hard for you to be seen but you can see the enemy when waiting with the detonator.

That badge is a bitch and I gave up after a few trys. Going 3 and 14, or something, in a round isn't worth some stupid badge. Besides, I got what I need to be Sergeant Major anyway.

go as US on karkand, run down the hill, and do some c4 killing, i somehow got my veteran explosives badge doing that....
I got mine tonight. First try. I found the basic knife to be much harder unless you spawn rape.
Like the previous poster said use a combination of claymore and C4.
I played on Karkand as MEC. I started as sniper and placed claymores in the very front where USMC approach. I did this for about 4 times. I got about 8 kills in between getting raped by the APCs.
Then after the first two flags got taken I switched to special forces and used C4. I spawned at the suburb and started tossing C4 at the approaching USMC and also took out a tank and APC.

not sure if this is any help at all, but i'll tell you how i got mine. is was either a 16 or 32 player karkand map and i was special forces on the u.s. side. i made my way around the left side of the first building and then chucked a c4 over the metal fence into that little area with the crates that enters into the alleyways. pay attention to your map to make sure your team isn't already in there. when i detonated the c4 i got like 3 kills, so i threw another one over the fence. boom, another 3 kills. i just stood there doing that while one of my teammates was resupplying me and that was it. easy peasy. my teammates either went around the sides or just hung out shooting guys coming out the other ways.
i was trying to get it, but i didn't really think that was gonna work. i had tried the claymore idea and all that, but there are too many retards who will get themselves tk'ed on the them. i think finding a semi-safe place to chuck c4 into places where the enemy might be headed is the best idea. that's what worked for me.

My advice is to be on the side that is LOSING the map. If that happens, theres always a hell of a lot of dudes on the alleys of hotel and those little alleys are your best place for c4...Also, if the enemy is rushing the square all the time, go to the floor with a support dude or call for supply and just keep on chucking c4 + claymore down when they try to take the flag. And yes, i am still saying to do it on karkand.
This works best on a good 64 player map. I got mine on dragon valey...
Take car. Stick C4. Take out detonator. Go into crowded base. BOOM.
And keep doing that. Also you could go crash into enemy armor and cars or whatever.

the expert knife is hard to get but i did any ways find a 24/7 karkand 0 on freindly fire and 32-64 player server almost full thats how i got mine and my freinds in that night plus it was fun every one was using c4.FFOLKES wrote:

Yea i still can't get mine, Lol Its the last badge i need to have all of them. Its like I see the c4 and the guy and i hesitate and end up blowing Me up lol
The main thing is to learn to toss C4 and blow it up before it hits the ground, without killing yourself! Run jump and throw at a 45 degree angle to get the most distance. Once it has been lobbed walk or jump backwards.When you are the right distance away from the lobbed pack right click, left click in quick sessesion. It will look like you haven't got your detonator out and may drop a fake c4 pack but the lobbed pack will explode, hopefully not killing yourself. Without learning how to do this, the award is pretty much impossible.
Once you have perfected this go on a 24/7 Karkand server, 64 player map with only 32 people.This will give you more then enough time to get your kills up(300 tickets). Then move around the map looking for victims, don't sit waiting setting traps and be a lone wolf, so you'll not get TKs (or many of 'em). It's best to keep your stamina bar at atleast halfway so if you spot someone you can run and jump towards them. Or even drive to your victim jump out and lob c4 in his face.
Mix this with some jihad jeeps and you should get the award no problem.

I got mine on Strike at Karkand. Not only are there a lot of vehicles going around that you could surreptitiously drop C4 onto, but some of the spawn points are just asking for a little plastic explosive-ing. Most notably, the front spawn (Hotel) is recessed. If you see your flag going down or an enemy flag going up, just toss C4 and detonate ASAP. (That is, if 'nades haven't cleared it out already.) The same goes for some of the other spawns, especially the ones with sandbags/walls around the flags; if you see them in the process of getting capped by the enemy, toss some explosives over the barrier and cross your fingers.
I took a screen cap of my basic explosives ordnance award...not gonna try for vet, I suck as spec ops...but I won't post the pic here since it's of me blowing myself up along with two enemies...hey, at least I net +2 points, right?

Well, I would have gotten my expert badge when I got my vet badge, but I didn't have enough explosives kills, ended the round with about 45 c4 kills though.
I played as MEC, found it to be easier than USMC, since all of the enemies have to come to you, instead of the other way around. At the beginning of the round I ran to the southermost fenced area, tossed a c4 pack over the fence at a time, detonating them as they hit the ground, racked up a few. After I was naded I came back but set packs just inside the fence and hid in the corner, waiting for guys to come through, got several more kills before I died.
From there the USMC team actually started grabbing some points (I found this to be a good thing, since it stopped their ticket drain, and it stopped the clusterfuck killing at the southern point that was dropping the tickets too quickly. I then started spawning at the NW most point, popped 3 c4 on the front of the vodnik and took it to anywhere there was action. If you jump out at max speed a little before you get to guys, you can detonate it immediatly and take no damage. I would do that, then quickly run after other guys or vehicles and toss/detonate my other 2 packs, and pretty much suicide after that, spawning at the NW point yet again. It was a 64 player map with about 30 people playing. I got my 45 c4 kills with about 50 tickets to go, then gave up realizing I couldn't even get expert yet.

Claymores+Karkand= minimum 1 kill per death if u have any skill, mostly 2, good 4, excellent #of enemies on the map. Try to go for that one spot where theres always 6 MEC people south of the hotel. Just charge in and drop the claymores.
