*sigh* Guys his stats are pretty good, lay off him a bit. It struck me as odd at first when he didn't post them too, but that isn't the point of the post. He has great k/d in a jet, good in helo, good infantry k/d, though his kpm is pretty low for his time in vehicles and lack of driver kill assists.

I agree that it is annoying when people get in your vehicle that you had been using and then crashes it minutes later, but they bought the game too. If I really wanted that then I'll go try and jack the other teams, even if it doesn't work it's usually a lot of fun.

the only way to get more skilled is with practice.  they line up to get practice.

you can't tell them not to wait.  they can do w/e they want in-game, doesn't matter what u want.

I'm sick of people crying ever five seconds over "you stole me vehicle", "admin. he tk'ed me" and all that other garbage so I just play Infantry Only servers and let the "elites" chopper/tank/jet whore and have their way.

I'm love BattleField2 as long as people don't fuck up my Infantry Only servers.

Once upon a time I had 80% of my kills in a vehicle, then I joined a clan and started ground pounding its far more fun than just flying around in jets/helis or aiming down a hotel alley with a tank

In a game where theres so many different vehicles, why is it a surprise that some simply dont want to groundpound?

Infact why is it a surprise that some arent that good with a point and click game?  Why are they noobs or whores because they are more skilled in a vehicle?


I know, I suck at guns- I dont have the reaction times of the youngsters and some days I just dont have the tolerance to be killed, killed and killed again when I could be having so much fun jetting around pouring the sugar on and even getting the odd medal thrown in

yeah I have my good days on the gound but generally I go to what I can do best, and if that includes camping out then so be it.

Maybe they "camp" because flying is a lot of fun. Driving a tank is a lot of fun. I don't camp per se but sometimes I might simply because I want a go at flying or driving. If someone is already there, fine I'll move on. One of the great things about this game is the varied ways you can play. And as some have said earlier, we paid for the game, we should be able to play how we want. If someone takes offence at that, then they should go on a private server.

I get most of my kills while not using vehicles.
ie: I don't suck at infantry, it's just a lot easier to take on a tank when you're in a tank.

Agreed.  I took an unused transport heli and flew just to see how high i could go, and then to see how long it would take me to reach the ground by parachute (the second time without).  Getting the parachute ribbon was a bonus, but I like doing this occasionally.

How dare u call people noobs when u dont have the nerve to post your stats?
so people that likes to play 90% of their time in vehicles are noobs?, this is not CSS idiot this is Battlefield2, vehics are there for a reason, dont like them dont use them.
and how can u tell who is good or not?, i have seen less than 15 guys that have above average ratio at everything, kits and vehics.
Many people has a kdr above 2 and they only play K&P servers, many people have a kdr above 10 in planes, but they only use the J10.... thats very relative.

i forgot, u asked for reasons, heres one:
If i want to play infantry, i will play CS or DayOfDefeat, but if i want to play with vehics, i will play BF2, AND i will spend my time killing noobs that hate vehicles and write stupid posts......

My clan helps eachother no matter what we're doing, ground pounders spot targets for jets to bomb, helos kill tanks so infantry can take a flag, you need teamwork on all fronts, not just ground. Sometimes one of our jets get shot down, the other jet will circle the airfield until you take off, providing air cover. Little things like that make the game fun for me.

OR maybe a good player is someone who can find a server full of privates with 200+ pings and own them due to their lag. I might not have the best looking stats in the world, but its my first and only account and I am proud that I have never TKed anyone under any circumstance on purpose EVER. Nor have I purposely made someone kill me (aka standing on runways) unless Ive seen them TK someone else for a vehicle and then I figure they like the -4 points so I'll make sure they get more of them.
I also do the hard things that most 'whores' don't even consider, small things no one ever notices and you never get rewarded for in terms of points or good stats but makes huge differences in the terms of the game.

How about you get on a server with 31 strangers V 32 other strangers and see how well you go. Its not hard to run around with 5 medic friends reviving you non stop. It is hard to take on a far superior team almost single handedly and come out with a win (and I don't mean J10 carrier rape either).

It's only noobish if you TK for vehicle in question because you're so desperate for it. I, personally, like to fly a lot. So if I can get my hands on a J-10 on wake, then I'll grab it with any means needed (no TK however... okay sometimes ).

what i dont understand is the noobs who run under the jet as you take off. it gives them a death, and me a few - points which ill get back in a few seconds. i end up with the gold medal anyway, and i dont care about running them over. so what is the purpose of this, some kinda nooby fit of anger when i beat them into the jet?

I do not believe that your KDR or anything else for that matter simply b/c you have to ask yourself when they started the account or what kind of specs/controls they have.  For instance i myself consider myself decent in everything except jets and heli's.  For one i only have minium requirements for the game, and i only play with a mouse, no joystick, or microphone. People out there are always starting new accounts to try and make their stats look good.  If i was to start a new account there is no doubt i would have an sum of the best armor stats around in both a tank and apc.  Also my knifing skillz are sum of the best.  My sniper accuracy is unbelievable.  So this whole thing about basing anything on stats is absurd.  I have had the same account since i began playin the game and i am just now starting to create a decent account.  That is my two cents!!!!!!!
