Hey guys, new to BF2s Forums, looked for 30 mins to try and find a similar q/a to the one i have, but sadly couldnt find it... also maybe because its 10pm and im dragging... anyway... lol ... check it out, right now I have a score on bf2 ""REGULAR"" of 13,751 as a Gunnery Seargant. I was thinking of buying Special Forces upgrade, which is like wha $30, but im debating and also poking @ a question every1 who I know who plays BF2 is asking... IF i upgrade my BF2 with SF, and since I am already a gunnery seargant, after 20,00 kills, will it RETRO unlock for the past like I guess its 4 unlocks?? I've been trying to read up on it w/ net but get mixed answers, please provide me with some help and facts, I just want to know if it will indeed retro unlock for me, also, if I only have lets say 2 ""regular"" bf2 unlocks left, if it retro unlocks, will it go to the SF unlocks ? like I guess what im asking is, will i get the flasbang unlock if i already have the upgraded assault gun.. etc etc? I need some help from u seasoned people, thx in advance and I really appretiate your input!!

- Special Force Unlocks?!?!?
Yes, play one round of SF and it will give you unlock points for all the ranks you already passed. You can even spend the extra unlock points on normal BF2 guns if you like. The only way to unlock the SF gun though is to first unlock the normal BF2 gun for that kit.

And after you "catch up" on unlocks, you'll get two unlocks per rank.iNeedUrFace4Soup wrote:

Not a hundred percent here, but I would say yes.
I seem to remember that when Euroforces came out and I upgraded to it (as in your similar case) I picked up an extra unlock or two since I was at a rank that should have included all the unlocks.
I wouldnt worry about that in your buying decision. Besides, if you look at the worst case scenario, you may have to push for the next rank before the new unlocks show up, and when they do, you should get all of them at once.
I hope that helps you out with as little confusion as possible. I personally recommend BF2:SF since I think it is probably the one of the better xpansion packs for BF2. However, the other xpansion pack that is worthy of mentioning here, Armored Fury, is a great one too, just minus the unlocks.

thx guys bad@$$ forum!
If you don't want to actually play the game, i have logged in for my friends and played a round so they can get the unlocks.
(If you know/trust someone to do this for you it can save you the bother of buying SF)
