Quick question, UAV.

Just a quick question that I've been wondering about, as there is a UAV Drone, if you fly over it in a helicopter or plane will you not be on the radar? The UAV goes up to about 200-250 height I think, so if you fly at 300 above it I don't see why you shouldn't be off the radar.

Can anyone confirm this?

You do still appear on the radar. I have been commander on Wake and their blackhawk was hovering at about 500m above the airbase. A squad leader was piloting and his squad would spawn on him and bail out over the airfield. Very good tactic actually and I have started doing it on occasion as well.

Ya, its a really good tactic, but not many people do it since the Squad leader gets no points what so ever.

in real life i think a UAV is higher that 200 feet. it is more like 10000 feet i think. i saw a show about this on discovery channel. LOL. but i know it u fly beside it in a heli and then u bail you can land on it and walk around.

I don't understand how that tactic could work. How long can a Blackhawk hover before it gets shot down by a jet?

Most jet pilots don't look for helos that high.... and once the airfield is capped on Wake, where are you going to get another jet?
