Reintalling BF2 with no first CD?

Hi guys, I just reformatted my computer however I cannot instal BF2 because the first cd is so scratched as to be unreadable, is there any way around this? I have thought of images, but I was told that that would not work. Thanks for any help you are able to give.

I have an image of my bf2 dvd and it works fine.
I can install the game from it and i can run the game from it. I don't see why it shouldn't work for you.

Don't worry about your cd, worry about your cdkey, thats the important bit.

You can either borrow the cd, download and image, etc etc......

i had the same problem when i reformated my pc... my disk #1 is scratch alot so it dindt work but i tried and tried and after a few trying a bit it worked!!!

so i guess you gotta keep tryin ?

I'm just downloading the whole thing, as long as I've got my CD key its all good.
