SVD is good for short range but the M24 is better for long range so I choose M24

im gonna have to go with the m24. i do like the svd, but i tend to do less sniping with it and use it more at closer range...then its not really sniping any more.

M24 because sometimes I forget SVD is rapid fire so I hold down the mouse and I get major recoil
I'm going with the SVD for Karkland I/O. SVD is well capable of 1 shot head kills
ill own anyone with an svd, its the best.

From experience, the Type 88 has about the same amount of accuracy (both long and close range) as the L96A1 and M24. The SVD is SLIGHTLY harder to use at range.

SVD is a better match weapon, but i like using M24 just as much on pub servers

SVD. Once you understand it, and don't engage in counter sniping vs l96 or m24 at 300m + your ok.

P.S. I used to think the SVD was crap.... came back with a fresh approach to learn it and well, lets just say it packs all the punch of the m24 in much shorter period.

i hate that you have to adjust your aim for head shots from a decent sniping distance with the svd, its sight is of to the left(you have to aim a little left of target). but in close range svd pwns face i usually pull out my pistol for close range when using m24. it really depends on the situation but id pick m24 over svd type 88 pwns both no real need for adjusting, sights are fairly good.
