Why is this gun particularly hard to get headshots with?

ACOG, RDS, it makes little difference, i just cant get headshots with it, compared to how fast i got the headshots for the M14.

On the other hand, i could just be shite with it.

The AK is also very hard to get headshots with, and it gets worse if you add a silencer or rds. Haven't tried much with the g3 but it's probably got the same issues.

Good point, it took me a while to get the AK headshots too.

I might just try it without RDS or anything like that, see if that works.

Also, with stopping power, it still seems to need 2 shots to kill, 2 to head or one to body, followed by a headshot.

Annoying, when the M14 w SP kills in one headshot.

Hmmm odd the G3 was my alternate sniper rifle just for the case i could take a headshot from the otherside of the map with ease with it. I love it for the fact of its hitting power and lack of recoil, Unlike the M14(which i love as well).

I might just do that if the iron sights idea fails, i seem to remember the G3 somewhat "rapes" on hardcore.

If you want head shots for the G3 or M14, I found the best way was to go onto a Regular Shipment TDM server with less then 16 players. Make a kit with bandoleer, steady aim, and juggernaut, and spam at heads while you run towards them. I realize most people hate jugg, but you need it for this as you will be getting shot a lot.

Headshot detection is sucky in cod4 It's why the game has SPRAY, so you don't need to AIM.

Hardcore is the easiest way to get headshots with any gun. Just put a RDS on it and camp a popular spot for people to go. Keep yor aim right at head level and just wait for the people to walk through and headshot them.

I did this for my g3 and got 92 headshots in 2 rounds. It was on the map that you are on the boat, I forgot the name. Just spend a few rounds on a server like that and you can finsh the g3 easily.

Another one that might work is to find a server running a map with mounted mgs. Just wait for a noob to hop on it and pull an easy headshot off him.

It is hard to get HS with. It's a great gun and I use it all the time, but it's just hard.

I find people gettting more head shots in regular instead of HC. When one or two shots to the chest will do it, there isnt much of an incentive to aim up.

AK and Mp44 HS are ridiculous hard, G3 they were a bit easier with red dot i guess, not as hard as Mp44/AK though TBF.

That is true, but if you have the mindset of trying to get headshots, then you will aim up. My method I basically just sat in one spot as the peopl ran through and I had my aim right at head level. So you are right, if you are going for the kill just for the sake of getting a kill, but if you are going for headshots, hardcore is definately a lot easier and faster if you can aim.

Ironically enough, the accuracy's the problem.

Most guns you can just sort of spray at the head, and you'll probably get a headshot. This gun, you need to actually aim at the head.

The fact it takes two headshots to kill doesn't make things easier either.

But iron sights are working a lot better, ive gone from 26 headshots to 102 over a few hours.

Yeah as I said for whatever reason the RDS makes headshots more difficult. Good luck getting the other 50 hs, but using iron sights it shouldn't take long.

Progress report, G3 done - Iron Sights worked well, and done MP44.

FFA is the easiest way to get headshots next to hardcore or cage match if your too lazy.
